Yes! read the book He Came to Set the Captives Free. The girl in there was possession. Read how God delivered her. It also has in the Bible about demons taking possession of peoples bodies. Read Matt. 8:28-32, Mark 5:1-20- and Luke 8:26-39.

No, and no. I believe some people are very susceptible, and the more religious fanatics tend to see demons and devils every time they catch a cold or feel sick. And sometimes people have physical problems that make them seem like they've been possessed. If anyone could actually show a demon, angel, or other supernatural creature to the world, perhaps there would be more converts to Christianity. Or not. Not being christian doesn't mean a person of another religious belief doesn't have his or her own gods or goddess for protection.
There is nothing wrong with having faith in your beliefs, but in this world, most people want proof before believing. And if a religious belief could be proven true, then it wouldn't be a religion, but a reality of fact.

My, my, don't let a movie spook you! It was JUST a movie. The story it told was made up. It was fabricated. It did not document an actual event. In fact, there has never been verifiable documentation of any such thing as possession of a person by the devil. If you can prove otherwise, the James Randi Foundation would like to hear from you. They are offering a million dollars cash to the first person who can prove a case of devil possession, demon possession or any such event whatsoever. The money is there, verified by one of the most reputable financial institutions in the world. Just think of the good things you could do with a million dollars! The James Randi Foundation is easy to contact: just type the title of the Foundation into your search engine. Well? We're waiting....

What a lot of hoo-haw. People can be emotionally unstable, and the slightest thing will set them off.
This is a true story: I had a friend who used to go to a church where they specialized in demon deliverance. People used to throw up. They would get so excited thinking that a demon was leaving their body, they would make themselves get sick. Anyway, Arnie told me that a woman was "delivered" from a peanut butter demon. Apparently she liked peanut butter an awful lot, and she felt she was possessed, so she went for deliverance.
The woman was a lonely, depressed person who simply had bad eating habits, and peanut butter was a favourite food. It did not mean she had demons. Nor do any of the bigger examples, such as the Emily Rose movie mean anything. If people want to tell themselves that doctors cannot help and that they need exorcism, then they pretty much have sealed their fate. Mind over matter.

Hi there.
I worked as a Deputy Sheriff at the Houston County Jail in Perry Georgia for 3 years. Most of your possessed people end up there so mainstream society does not see them for long. They come in foaming ot the mouth yelling and screaming, Many times they are sober. After a few days or weeks they are normal again and we release them.
I don't know if they were possessed for sure but they would 100% match the descriptions in the Bible.
Hope that helps.
GOD bless ya!

All I know is, the more kinds of mental and neurological disorders they discover, the less there is for the 'devil' to do! He'll be out of a job before long...
Honestly, for most "posessions" there is no reason to think the symptoms are caused by demons. It's just a convenient place to put blame when you don't know the actual cause.
On the other hand, as Father Tim said on "Soap!": "sometimes it's hard to tell... but when an infant is fluent in Latin and Greek, you've got to go with possession!"

I believe that people can be possessed by evil spirits who have not crossed to the other side for one reason or the other. most of the time spirits have an earthly addiction, or some unfinished business that they believe they can help. When they see they can not, they go to the other side. I don't believe in devil, though. After everything I have read, and we are talking probably 25 books on religions and spirituality, I have come to reject the belief in Satan, and embrace the belief in "Being of light" or God. Movies are, don't forget, dramatized much more than necessary. Still, if you take that only 20% of it is true, it is still scary.

Yes.
I don't know if the devil, personally, possesses people but there are a multitude of "unclean spirits" cited in the Bible that have done so.
No I'm not scared. If you are in Christ you should not worry.
1John chapter 4
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

For people without God in their hearts, they have no protection from demonic forces. In the Bible Jesus would drive out evil spirits from people, and so Christians cannot be possessed because after He rose to heaven He left the Holy Spirit to guard our hearts. My advice would be for anyone who is not a Christian to stay away from any kind of wizadry or future telling or seyonce type thing, those are like gateways to possession, I am not just saying that, it has really happened.
