Yes Jesus looked up but I am a far cry lesser than He.

I'm real impressed with your "avatar" lookin down. You know what. Jesus Christ, Himself, always looked UP, while He prayed.

Debra. I took a stand for you, and your religion tonight. I saw a few people bum you. I posted a question according to this. You replied with a answer, I can't believe. Actually, I can believe it. It just disappointed me.

This forum has more "Christians" on it, than that of a vacant road.

I stand by what I just posted. pure and simple.

End of story. Love ya Girl. I love the "devotion" you have.
I wish this "Mother Theresa" syndrome, would leave ya. But...whatever.

Would Mother Theresa, leave me alone...STANDING for YOU...not me.? No body was on my case. I defended YOU.

This is YOUR response? or a general catholic response? Or a Christian response?

Your not alone. I saw several wannbee's Christ-likes, that took a plunge. I took a stand for a fellow believer. I had people turn against me, that it really shocked me. It didn't suprise me....it merely shocked me. They cut & paste a big sermon they heard or read. It's not a life they live. they can post anything on here. I,don't read "words". I can read "hearts". The *cut & paste, is spoof.. You let me down, Debra. I put it all on the LINE for you. I defended YOU, not me.

I took HEAT...That was not coming too me.

Debra. I'll always defend you. I'll defend anyone that lives for Christ.

Too each his own..eh?

.

You think about this.

Yes, I have found my calling. I work in a local nursing home and work with folks who can't come out of their rooms or who have no family or visitors. I also work with the dying, when their family is not there, if they even have a family. I pray with them and help them with their care so they can pass with dignitiy. I get many personal rewards (of the heart), knowing I am helping these folks at such a critical time.

I am called to be a nun. When I graduate college, I will have a degree in social work, and am even considering missionary work. Whenever I visit a convent, I just feel like it fits for me. I'm filled with joy and peace just considering it.

Yes. My purpose in life was to find happiness, and my calling is to help others find theirs. I am where I was ment to be, and my challenge is to help as many people who care- to find that place for themselves. While it DOES bring me a measure of joy & peace of mind, it ALSO brings me sadness sometimes- as there are so many, many people- who are directionless in their attempts to find what I have. I mourn for those, and hope that someday they too- will come upon the bliss that I have found.

i'm a Unitarian Universalist Christian. Welcome. Google us. we are nevertheless searching for the time period "Trinity" in the Bible, the area the position it makes use of the word "God the Son" (and not in any respect "the Son of God," a touch diverse ingredient), and the position it describes one God yet 3 persons (and "persons in the classic experience of the note" at that). The Church basically makes those issues up. Huh-- we do not even hassle a element out in the record above even with having had 5 Presidents who were Unitarian Christians! Oh nicely. Ahh, yet we do make it into the Wikipedia article decrease than, very outstanding!! P.S. isn't all non secular language to three volume "psychobabble"-- "Jesus loves you, we are all little ones of God, you've been made in only like God, we are area of the priesthood of all believers, that is a table to which all are welcomed, and so on.?" P.P.S. Scientologists do no longer make any declare to be Christians; Unitarian Universalists do no longer declare to be unavoidably Christian both, yet well known their roots in Christianity. That suggested, there are Christian UU church homes (nevertheless-- Kings Chapel in Boston, Universalist nationwide in Washington, Epiphany UU close to Detroit, and so on.), and there are Christians in UU church homes, regularly with their own communities (regularly referred to as chapters of the UU Christian Fellowship). Then there are more effective theist UU church homes, that "accommodate" Christians in various of ideas. Then there are humanist UU church homes the position pointing out God or Jesus receives you dirty looks. You not in any respect extremely comprehend what you need to locate in a UU church.

I have, but I find the real joy and peace doesn't come from doing anything, it comes from the knowledge of God's love, faithfulness and patience with me.

When I hear "calling", I think more of teachers or ministers. I'm a mother, and I know that's what I was meant to be, and I'm content. I just never really thought of it as a calling. Thanks for giving me something to think about!

I have not found my purpose in life yet. I love the mission field, but I have not been led into it yet. God Bless.
