I think a few people are confused they are former chuches which use the pews for seats and pulpits as a place for the DJ.

These former churches are no longer run by religion but were sold for conversion into bars...the religion has nothing to do with the money that is being made

Good post in my view.
I have not heard this before, so see my day is complete as I did learn something new. Thank you for that!
Personally as I do see it, such sure does fit right into the concept of religion or organized religion. If they are still organized I say it was a wise move for a lot of money can be generated from the bar business if run properly. Then the funds can be used to train more ministers to be bar tenders and cocktail waiters and waitresses.
They can print tracts and place one under every drink. They can hang verses all over the walls. If they have a live rock and roll christian music band the place will be alive and jumping with the younger crowd. Yes my friend it sounds like a great idea for making money.
Now maybe you will understand better why I am a "NO". Check out my profile to verify it. Yes I say NO to organized religion.
Please do not get me wrong, all are free to do what they want and they are not accountable to me. That is why I said for me such is a great idea. I do let others do what they do want to do. Its only fair because I want to be free to do what I do.
Again thanks for the information, I will think about it some. I did not say I would accept it as the gospel truth but I will think about it and I will not repeat it to others.
Do have a great day and do smile. I am.

God commands us to not take on the ways of the world. We can be in the world, but not of it. When we look like the world, then why would any one want to become a Christian. Our bodies are the temple of Christ, but we go to worship Him a church. Satan is having fun trying to destroy all that God has put together. He is trying to pull as many people as he can to hell with him and he don't care how he dose it. We as Christians are letting all the evil in, because we don't stand up for what is right.

There's nothing wrong with that, and in fact I think it's awesome!
For real, though, I've seen many churches convert to different religions. Say, a Catholic church being bought by a Protestant congregation. I don't think it's any different. It's all business.

Wait...are they still churches?
If not, then I don't see a problem. It's simply financial.
If so, however, then I would disagree with their message. If you must resort to clubs to get people into religion, then something is wrong with religion (or your public relations). Either way, use faith to bring people to faith, not alcohol.

well, Jesus was going to temple (modern day church) and when he got there he noticed that merchants and traders had set up shop, he was upset at the sight of people making business and gambling in the house of the Lord, he overturned the tables and told the people of the disrespect they showed in Gods house, how do you think hed feel about people getting drunk, dancing, etc in Gods house???
