They didn't exist, they're just stories made up by religious people that eventually made its way to the bible.

Cain slew Abel before he was banished from the garden... He did to to the land of Nod and found a wife. There was a civilization already there..The only conclusion I have been able to make of all this is; Adam and Eve were the origin of the Jewish race..God's chosen people. Need to read some of the history on Giglamesh, to see any connection here.. It does give a bit more insight into this complicated scenario. Which doesn't seem to be clarified in the Bible.

For one, the bible isn't complete. A long time ago leaders of their religious sectors got together to agree on combining most of the scriptures in order to form one solid book regarding Jesus and what not. One of the books they wanted to leave out was the book of "Revelations". Eventually, they all agreed no matter how horrifying the book may be, it was a book the people should know about. What I am getting at is, there are many scriptures of the bible that were left out during its compilation. The missing pieces, I am sure are a few of the lost scriptures

Humans evolved in many different places at roughly the same time. The places where we have the most evidence for, at present, is Eastern Africa and Northern - Central China. There were plenty of folks around at the time.
The Adam and Eve myth was only ever meant to be symbolic, not taken literally.

cain and abel weren't the only offspring of adam and eve. cain and abel probably married their own sisters, or other siblings offspring. just because the bible doesn't say anything about them, didn't mean it didn't happen. the bible is poorly translated. but it was translated so long ago, no one feels the need to change it.
as an example of its poor translation, there's actually a mis-translation in the ten commandments. "thalt shalt not kill" was originally "thalt shalt not murder" so squishing a bug, isn't necessarily a sin, as long as you didn't do it on purpose.

If you read further, you will find that they were not the only people on earth. Cain was marked so that others would not kill him after he murdered his brother. While these 'other people' are never really mentioned (because they are not in David's, and therefore Christs, lineage), people miss this. It is these 'others' that supplied the wives.

My own thought on this matter is that while God was creating Adam and Eve and then they had children, there were OTHER couples being created elsewhere who were also having children. Because why would someplace be called land of NOD, if there were NO people in it already! Just a thought.

Don't you think that it would of been possible for God to create others?! Adam and Eve were just the first. I do not believe that Cain married his sister!!!

Their SISTERS. Now before you panic, God has passed a law in Leviticus that you can no longer marry next of kin.
Anyway, The Bible said Cain went to Nod, didn't say he MET a girl there.
Remember back then the genetic code was PURE. Adam's was perfect. His sons would probably be perfect... then slowly mutations started to take place. Today, we have so many mutations that marrying our sister would render a child mentally retarded or with some very nasty physical features.
But back then, their genetics were so pure there were no defects in the body.
