when my mom who was tryin to shove religion down my throat? (

Mom: Your gonna have to find your own path, but just know when you look up at the stars at night that he is real. How else could everything be so well-designed. Everything is formed to function just exactly as it should, how else could it be like this?

Me: But you said god was perfect yet you also said no1 ever created him...I don't get it.

Mom: God doesn't need a creator.

Me: therefore neither do I...

Brother michael if I am only matter than nothing will happen after death and the existence of god is irrelevant. Than seems quite hypocritical.

Your Mothers' teleological argument holds no water, but neither does any argument about God having to have a cause. The whole concept of causality requires time to give it substance - before (cause), after (effect). Therefore something (like God) that is supposed to be outside of space and time cannot be said to have a cause in any meaningful sense. You are correct in your view that their is no need to assume a "creator", though. Keep working at it, you'll find your way through the maze.

I don't think that being perfect and having a creator are related. I think that this deep thinking and not having just an ounce of faith is draining her. She has faith that her God is perfect and He is the Alpha and the Omega. That's all she needs to know. Leave her be.

Very bad answer. The universes existence is evident, it is well designed. You exist , but cant make a tree , a frog or a blade of grass. Mom was right.

God is spirit, not matter, matter needs a creator.
You are matter.

God is beyond time and space, He is not bound by either.
you are.

God is not made of flesh and blood.
You are

God is the uncreated being, He always was.
You are not.

God is God
you are not.

Case closed.

Yep--slight, but an insult.

Not a very swift Conversation either if you were over 9 years old.
