Why do we allow others to run our lives?
When we get upset with someone else, is it their fault or mine?
Do I have the right to not get upset?
Do I have the right to forgive them, no matter the infraction?
Do I have the right to not judge anyone, and not have anyone judge me?
When I relize that I make up the rules in my life, including how I will feel about others actions, will I be less depressed?

well i beleived in god and was a christian before coming on here. maybe i wasnt very secure in my faith since you guys have converted me to atheism. but still arent christians suppose to be converting people to their religion and not convincing people there is no god at all? you guys should be very ashamed of the way you handle yourself on this sight. i read a post a few days ago where you were telling people to burn in hell. you guys are always contradicting yourselves. i have studied philisophy of religoin back in my college days so i know quite a bit about the bible and i see how you guys minipulate it and answer one question in one way and other questions in other ways. it seems like you guys just dont know what the hell your talking about. you cut and paste long bible versus to your answers and then add some bullsh%t interpration of that verse at the end. do you guys know how awful you are making your religion look? the atheists on here are kicking your @sses in the debates and...

The bible speaks strongly about doing Gods Will and not to follow the doctrine (teaching) of man. It is made clear what Laws are in play and what Laws are nailed to the cross. it is made clear that the Lord is coming back to shed blood not to make peace. Gods Word does not contradict itself, the Lord is perfect in everyway. It is we people who are inperfect and make it hard on ourselves buy not excepting what the Word of God Says. He has 10 Commandments not 10 suggestions. He said that no one should change his Words and Man has done just that. Even when it comes to discplining our children. I know, through studies that the Lord has Laws and statutes that we must follow. Even if you yourself think it is untrue. The book is there find out for your self.
I am not perfect, I do know that even I have a law in my home, I have a law that I must follow at work and even man has Laws. What would make you think the the Perfect Holy God of Israel's Law is null and void. u r wrong.

it doesn't seem to me that people are any bigger than they were before but the real question I am asking is... Do you think the majority of people are really actually concerned about being overweight?

If you were a parent with an overweight child, would you "fix" him/her or would you continue to love them the same? or both? Would you even notice at all?

lots of questions in this one... sorry.

Jeremiah 17:9 "The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?"

How can you prove the book of mormon reliable by a burning feeling in your heart when the heart is above the most deceitful?

i often hear from the christians in my life that say they love me, but then continue on to tell me what is right and wrong in my life as often as they choose. i see this happen on yahoo answers all the time too.
i don't get it. in my book love and judgment can't coexist and jesus teaches to love your neighbor and not to judge one another. does passing judgement on another person have a different secret meaning that i don't know about? how do christians who do this justify this action?

Do you agree with this quote, if so, why?
Rev. Jerry Falwell

"Feminism encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
or this one : Pat Robertson
"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is.

Or both? why?

I can't even imagine someone being alive that is as big as Christmas. If he didn't do every thing that the people wanted, and I don't think he would! I believe society would crucify him once again just like we did 2000 years ago.

I've heard a lot from different sources about Vegan philosophy, but the arguements seem shallow. They don't seem to get to the "heart" of the matter, no pun intended here. It seems to me there is a deeper, perhaps philosophical or religious, motive to not killing animals for any reason. Can anybody elaborate on this for me? Are there spiritual/religious reasons we should not harvest animals? In what religion do you find them?

www.jesus-is-savior.com or www.jesus-is-lord.com? If you have, what was your take on them. When I would glance at their articles, I got alot of bad vibes about Christianity, mainly that it was an ignorant, hateful religion. The websites essentially condemn all non-Baptists. What do you think if you've been to them?

I would like to hear from as many different beliefs as possible on this question, including the athiests/agnostics. What delineates "right action" from "wrong action" for you? Is it the legal code? A moral code from a religion (please specify)? Your personal feelings? How do YOU know "right" from "wrong"?
