i just posted a question on how do you love someone yet judge what is right and wrong in their lives and it still came out with a lot of people thinking that it is ok to do this. saying something is right or wrong is judging there is just no way around that. some say it is to offer guidance and help for others (like children), but i am not a child under someone else's authority and i am not asking for help or guidance. this happens just because i am doing something that doesn't fit the rules that they live by. they say that this is wrong and i should be doing this instead because the bible says so... and such and such. it feels really disrespectful to me and i just lost a friend because i came right out and told her that i didn't like it and i just need to be respected for my individuality. i'm still not getting it. if it is ok to judge someone in this way, what is the rule judge not lest ye be judged all about then? (please don't use the word to define itself)

SO i saw a decal on this truck, GOD is coming and she is mad. And I emebered that People get all freakin crazy and fanatical about god being a man. WHy is that. ANd of coarse its the religious nut cases. Anyway, what is up with retards thinking God is a biological being with the need for reproductive parts. I though gender or sex was only for inferior forms of being. Not superior beings.

Alright everyone. Get to the nearest bible and read this next verse in the New Testament. 1 Corinthians 11:14. It reads "Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears his hair long it is a disgrace to him..."
Wait a second. Jesus. Didn't he have long hair? Does that mean he sinned? Does that mean that now I can use the bible to say that people with long hair are disgraceful? Elaborate...

All the people of Oz worshiped and feard the Wizard (God). They looked to him as being all knowing and good. And he had good witches (angels). And there was a most evil witch (Satan) and she had henchmen (demons). So Dorathy was trying to find the Wizard (Trying to find God) so that she can be saved. She was joined with other characters who needed Jesus (the Wizard). When they finally found the Wizard (God), they found out he was nothing more than a man made being. The Wizard was created by man. And to find what they so desired, they needed only to look within themselves to find the answers. It was in their journey toward God that they discovered themselves, so perhaps religion is neccesary for some, even if it is completely false...

It cannot be an atheist, because that is someone who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods, but what about a person who thinks that God or Gods are the reason to blame for pain and suffering.

Please, no religious tirades damning me to hell.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, or anything....it was just always something that I have wondered about. Also, why is it that Catholics feel they can only be forgiven through the aid of a priest, and not by use of the faculties that God has given us...where in the bible does Jesus mention that specific requirement? If it isn't mentioned, how/why did that belief originate? Again, not trying to pick a fight...just would like to know what people think. Thanks in advance for not condemning me to hell ;o).

Jesus did some super natural stuff... He turned water into wine, he fed 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish, he walked on the water, he brought people back to life, he gave sight to the blind, he healed the lame, he even died and came back to life!... Jesus was way cool. He saved us all

Sin; if questionable, biblically speaking, is an offense to your brother; so sin is relative; are heaven and hell relative, in that God is Just and Fair? Normalicy is a perception of what is acceptable behaviors and occurances, if your perception of heaven is my perception of hell, and we believed in the same God and spirituality, why would you condem me for loving my normal heaven, and not yours?

Some Yahoo Q&A people have said that Adam was decieved by Eve, therefore he was not responsible (or at least completely responsible) for his sin. Well, who do you think deceived Eve? Satan did. So according to this logic both would not be responsible because both were actually "decieved" by someone else, therefore, according to this logic, neither would have been responsible for their sin. If that were the case, there would have been no need for them to be punished. If you read the Genesis account it says how when God had asked them what they had done, Adam's excuse was that Eve persuaded him, in turn, Eve's excuse was that "the serpent" persuaded her. They both were trying to blame someone else. Some (not all) have said that Eve was more (or totally) at fault because she persuaded Adam. But Eve was persuaded first by Satan. They both made a choice apparantly. So, those of you who say that Eve was more at fault, Why do you say this? Also, cajun4talk2u I'm waiting.

I have my own beliefs on this topic but I am curious about other people's opinion. It seems that in the US people seem to think that science is a more subjective field similar to pyschology or philosophy. I know the scientists themselves feel very differently about this, but why is this the case?

It makes me angry to have people throw stones at me and I want to respond by proving that they are the one that is wrong... but we all know how well that works. I just get frustrated sometimes... what am I supposed to do when someone verbally attacks me... especially when they don't really have a reason to do so? Should they be corrected, or left alone, or what?

Do you cut yourself and go to grab a band-aid, but the only ones left are the little tiny ones?
So you have to put a bunch together to form one huge band-aid? Doesn't that suck?

And what in the hell are those little band aids for? Paper cuts?
