I used to be a Christian myself, so I understand the desire to stay connected to the church. However I don't think that your desire for connection and structure for your family should dictate your beliefs. I would ask myself why I want my child to stay in church. Is it for community, and community activities? If so there are other organizations that can provide this like community centers, youth organizations, and even some parks.

Is it for morals, ethnics or a belief system? If so, then your children should be part of an organization that you believe in, and it sounds like you are still searching. I wouldn't get involved with a religion unless you are convinced of it's truth, not just to give your kid something to do.

Keep searching..I know it is tough. This August is my 10 year anniversary of not following any religious system, and sometimes I miss the sense of community. However I am grateful to be following my own sense of truth and ethics.

1) You are lost in a forest, there you see a house in the middle of the forest. you are certain that this house has been built by someone. you may not know who he is but you are dead sure that the house has a owner. WHY?

2)You dont see Infra-Red radiations, yet you believe its existence. you dont see the waves that are emitted while we talk, yet you can feel it. you have not seen a single galaxy yet you believe the presence of millions of galaxies. WHY?

3) You were not present when an Apple fell over Newton. And he discovered Gravity. yet you believe Newton discovered 'Gravity'. have you seen it? Yet you believe in the phenomenon called 'Gravity'.

4) Nobody knows where is the exact location of 'Mind' and the 'Soul' in the human body, yet millions accept its prescence.

5) Your PC from where you have typed the question was not built by chance. There can never be a PC without being built by a manufacturer, there has to be an intelligent designer who designed it. Without the Intel chip being designed, nothing could be possible.

If a small chip requires a Creator, the entire gigantic Universe without a Creator???

If you can affirm all these without seeing them, Can not the whole of the universe be built by ALmighty GOD???

The house in the forest has to have an owner, The Gigantic universe running in precise equilibrium, without an Owner?

GOD exists and HE is only ONE.

First you need to find an R for your eligion.
Now, it isn't about religion. It is about what you believe about Jesus. It doesn't matter whether you go to church on Saturday or Sunday if you pick a false teaching. Take your children where they teach that Jesus was born, lived a sinless life and died for our sins. Was buried and rose again on the third day. You won't go wrong with that.

i invite u to Islam, the Religion of Peace, Love, Harmony & Humanity. But, dont take my word for it. Do research on ur own abt Islam. Read The Holy Quran, Read Books of Hadiths (Prophet's Sayings), Research by Authentic Reliable Books & Sites (Don't count on sites that defame Islam, 'coz they spread mis-information and misconceptions abt Islam, and they cant even back up there claims with sufficient proofs, thus they are basically rambling Falsehood abt Islam). Do all this research on ur own and dont believe in anyone's hearsay (Not even mine). May GOD (ALLAH) guide u on The Path to Seek The Truth.
P.S. .......... by the way, i m truly Sorry for ur loss, take this tough time as a Test from GOD, and Ask GOD for Mercy. May ALLAH(GOD) guide u in this tough time.

You will not take your church to heaven with you,God looks at the heart, and you have a good heart,to be concerned about your kids this way,so go to a church that is more compatible with your schedule, you can have as many as you like,no limit!!PEACE and you are a good man!!

Read about other religions. Find what interests you, find out what youre passionate about, and go with it. Just dont expect everyone to agree with your newfound truths. Good luck!! I took the test, and Im 94% Reform Jew. Just like I am in life.

You don't just flip-flop religions like pancakes or something. If that was your only commitment to anything from the start, then no matter what you try, whatever you do will have little meaning.

Check out the Jehovah's Whiteness. Many of their beliefs are the same as SDA,except for the Saturday thing.

You don't have to go to church to believe in God or practice religion. In fact, I would suggest against it, because religion is completely personal and when you go to church you are just hearing one person's interpretation of things. Also, God's love transcends jobs and money. Don't go to church if you can't, but don't drop your religion either.
