SO i saw a decal on this truck, GOD is coming and she is mad. And I emebered that People get all freakin crazy and fanatical about god being a man. WHy is that. ANd of coarse its the religious nut cases. Anyway, what is up with retards thinking God is a biological being with the need for reproductive parts. I though gender or sex was only for inferior forms of being. Not superior beings.

Darn it, what did I say about saying stuff about the bible. And I also hate how people try to tak for GOD . GOD is his own being and people are not perfect and should not pretend to be. Because people are not perfect, they should not even try to attempt speaking for GOD.

"the bile this" - a freudian slip?

God would have no need for gender.

Humans started as pack animals, saying this the lead human was a man. The leader had an adviser, the wisest person would answer questions that came up. Using the chief/father as a guide set the model for their gods and helpers.
As time went by, it became common practice to make the lead god male, as deference to the chief (best keep him happy) Kings soon proved they were descended from the gods themselves. So the lead god is male, by rote, repetition. (Just a thought I made up - no proof.)
You are correct that GOD has no gender. Except as humans we talk using the pronouns we are first. So a he says he/him, and she says she/her. Being 2006, people will give a knee jerk response, then usually after thought will agree with you.

Read the bible and study it.

"God is NOT a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent.." Numbers 23:19

Through scripture, Man represents for the whole human race. In this scripture it could mean both male or female, since both man and woman have lied. Since woman has lied, then God cannot be a woman niether. God is not a man or a woman, but a form which we cannot comprehend, which is described in the bible. That's why it's says Jesus became a man, it doesn't mean he was a man before he stepped on the earth. He became a man, to be your sacrifice.

Many use the phrase..."The man upstairs" all the time and everywhere, but God says, he is not a man, that he should lie.

Ha Ha Ha yes i too believe this is stupid! How can god be a he or a she to begin with, due to lack of genitals, and if god had genitals why would he or she need it unless their were other gods to mate with! Again, some will argue, but think of this... don't let it bother you, some people cant argue past their mentality. If they can't think past a certain line then how can you ask them for an answer. So just respect their answer as you want them to respect yours. Even if you just cant fathom how they could come up with such an outlandish answer. Some people are like that! Weird how things are. If you believe in evolution then this too we will evolve from. Anyways yes I agree with you. It also serves and a funny argument at a party. It's one of those questions you say in the middle of a room and sit back and listen too! Enjoy!

You're right. I think people want to think God's a man, because we're still stuck in the old Man powerful, woman puny mode. I think it's just as stupid to call God a woman in some sort of cool defiant way, or something. Especially, when those people try to say God is a non-sexual being...
He is jsut the sort of generic pronoun we use, and might originate in DEUS, the Latin word for God, which is (due to its ending), a "masculine" verb. In most languages, the word for God is a masculine verb and so we stick with the "God's a dude" mode....

I believe people have a need to picture God to make God seem more understandable. God, pictured as the heavenly father, makes most people comfortable. They can picture walking up to God, crawling into his lap and sitting there with his arms around him as they talk with him. However, for someone who didn't have a good relationship with their father, God could be pictured as a woman, or any type of loving creature. Personifying God helps people connect more, and feel closer to God. When people have a set picture of something in their minds that makes something seem more real to them, it is disturbing to have to think about changing that image (even though they don't really have to change it). The familiar is more comfortable than the obscure.

The god of this world. O.K. You don't want scripture. But the proof to what I'm going to say is in there if you decide you want it, contact me. Satan, is the god of this world and SHE has the whole world deceived into worshiping her. She is so subtle that most people don't believe it when you tell them, God dose have a gender so dose the Creator and they are not one in the same. The creators name is Yahweh. He is our Father. God's(male), goddesses(female) they have many names because they are many, with one that leads them the one that was cast down from heaven with 1/3 of the angels. The woman(Female) that sits on seven Hills,(as the Hebrew says it). This is not easy for people to believe. But this can be backed up, with allot of proof. It was proven to me. Check it out.

I asked this a while back. Some say it's sexist to speak of God as being a he or a she? But isn't more sexist to OBJECT to God being spoken of as a he or she. Like you said. Too many miss the point. God is a spirit. A being of light. And all the he's white, no black, he/she, is just an EGO trip.

I blame backswing for this. Centuries of referring to God as a he or heavenly father (mother would be who?) has led rebellious folks to point out that error by taking the opposite position. It is ridiculous to think that an infinite spiritual being has a limited gender like any human does. If God were either a man or a woman, we would have to suppose that God was incomplete and that God needs to reproduce by mating with his or her counterpart.
I don't understand it either.
