I can't prove it to anyone but myself, nor would I want to. A person must have their own personal testimony of the gospel.
I totally agree, men's hearts can lead them to make wrong choices. Especially when it is only the "man" making the decision...
The Holy Ghost, the Spirit of the Lord, is the "burning" sensation you are talking about and he cannot lie. For me, it is more of a peaceful and wonderful happy feeling of knowing without a doubt the Book of Mormon is the most true and correct book on the earth. The Lord would not lead us astray, He loves us.
There are only 2 spirits a person can feel, one is the Lord's and one is Satan's.
Consider verse 5 before that:
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
I trust in the Lord and the Holy Ghost to show me the right way and help me make correct choices.

It is not my heart in which I trust. You are distorting what Mormons believe. What I trust is the sure witness of the Holy Ghost, as demonstrated by my heart burning within me. That is the experience I had the first time I read the Book of Mormon, and it has been repeated on countless occasions, when I’ve read the Bible, or heard a prophet speak.
More revealing than the reference you’ve twisted out of context is the clear testimony of those who spent some time with the resurrected Christ. They exclaimed, “Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?”
See, the Holy Bible says that if you’re having a spiritual experience, your heart can burn within you. I know that the Bible speaks the truth.
Been there, done that.

How can you trust your eyes if sometimes(under the influence) lie to us. how are you sure that you aren't high, right now and that my words are only a figment of your imagination.
You just know, right? Well, I just know. actually I don't "just know" I "DO Know." that and if a human heart is so deceitful then why is it that 1 Samuel 16:7 say in the last part of it...
the Lord looketh on the heart.
Why does God deterime what we are like by looking at the deceitful part of us? Why the Evil part? should he not see the good?

You should read the scripture from The Book of Mormon.
Moroni 10:3-5
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
The burning feeling you talk about refers to the feeling you get when the power of the Holy Ghost is manifested to you. You must ask sincerely, to receive that precious gift.

how does anyone prove that a religious book is reliable?
There is nothing in the Book of Mormon that is contrary to Christ's teachings. The only difference is that they believe that Christ came to the Americas. Certainly I think it is possible for the Son of God to do this.

Why do you care?
Do you want to break someone's faith in their church?
How can you prove the Bible... at all?
nothing in life is really "proven."
