Have you ever wondered if Moses went up to Mt. Sainai (sp?), got drunk, and decided to carve these 10 made up rules on stone and say that God told him to do so? This is not a question that is meant to offend or incite any hate. I was just wondering if anyone else ever thought of this. And don't go defending by quoting the Bible because I can say the same thing about the Bible. If we saw someone today that said they were talking to God, we would have them institutionalized. Back then, they were pious and they wrote all of the "messages from God" down and made the Bible.

Indeed we are "all" exhorted to "watch" (Mk 13:37), obviously to avoid getting deceived by "many shall come" to "deceive. But the tower JW's watch from seems to be only "high"; when being "in Christ" (in him there is no sin, hence in him there is no law: sin & death) is a "higher" thing (higher than the heavens on high).

Worse yet (perhaps a latter end worse described in Mt 12:45), are JW's on the left side of dividead left/right heavens on high, promoting "Jehovah" as "God", notably a God who is aweful lawful rather than grace us, merciless rather than merciful, divsional rather than peaceful?

Perhaps JW's should 'watch' the movie Rennaisance Man, especially the 'high tower' scene, where Danny Divido is told don't look down, and via such "evil concupiscence" he looks down, then scolds whoever said it. Perhaps JW's should also 'watch' the movie Home Alone, especially the churchy 'pew' scene, where the boy says to the grandpa: "aren't you a little old to be afraid"?

If you understand the theory better than me, Please correct me as you will.

Jesus, born on April 17, 6 BC. The date corresponds to when Jupiter was in either the constellations Capricorn or Saggitarius. In ancient astrology, there was a belief in a "King Star." The appearance of Jupiter where it could be seen by the Magi, could have been interpreted as the King Star, which could otherwise be called the fortelling of the coming of the King of the Jews. Later, the same Planet occured again on December 17th, at which time the Magi followed its light to Jesus.

There are some more points that could be made, but I don't want to be overly complicated.

I fail to see what destroying half a country and then offering a cease-fire accomplishes... Every man in Lebanon who lost a child or wife or other relative in the Israeli invasion isn't going to just live and let live... he's going to go sign up for rocket duty.

I do not speak of relative change here, like getting a new relationship, or a new job, but transformational change, where there is a fundamental shift in values and motives, from a self-focus (personal), to a Self-focus (humanity). Repentance is often defined as, "a change through the conscious evolution of purpose and action." I feel this definition of change is one of the best I have seen, but in my experience, when most people come up against an opportunity to change at the level of fundamental purpose they shy away. They say they want to be happy, and when that opportunity to be happy is presented, they choose to remain unhappy. Why is this?

Is your life that tiny pebble? I try to be. We will never know how far a tiny gesture like a smile can travel. That alone can be the deciding factor in anothers life. I want to encourage everyone to throw their life in the water. Be that pebble. Make your ripples. Make good positive loving ripples. Be someones difference today!
Peace Be With You,

Is it really so bad to point out that some parts of the Bible seem to contradict other parts?
I'm not trying to be mean or anything like that. I'm honestly confused, and whenever I try and ask someone about it, they blow me off and say I shouldn't question--that's just they way it is.

There is a 3 year old child, his disease is histiocystosis. In February he had a tumor removed from his face.

Medical science teaches us that this is a blood disease, nothing the parents could have done to prevent it.

Is this in fact a disease that the 3 year old has because of Adam and Eve?

I won't mess around with this one, this is my son. I believe that the disease he has is caused by natural factors, and has nothing to do with the mythology of Adam and Eve.

I also understand that I can't simply live life thinking "I know it all".

So, specifically to people who think Adam and Eve are real people, please tell me how Adam and Eve eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is the reason why my son had to be in a hospital for 9 days because a tumor was removed from his face.

Thanks! And I look forward to your eloquent intelligent essays on why 3 years olds get diseases as a result of Adam and Eve.
