Light-bearer...nice, really, though the historical connotations are unfortunate. Too many people embrace the King James translation which calls the devil Lucifer, when the name in the old testament really referred to a king the prophet didn't like. A bad guy, probably, but I suppose all Georges aren't bad, so why should all Lucifers be? :)

Damien, or the "Dark Lord" would also have sufficed.

Although on second thought, your son may be the subject to hours of ridicule on a daily basis through the majority of what should be a very short life. After all the ridicule he will either kill another kid or himself.

Maybe you should start calling him by his middle name just for safety's sake... unless you had his middle name as Booger or Scab, or something to that extent.

I think just naming the boy Sue would both suit cool and disturbing.

(sarcasm) Yeah. Nice. Real nice. (/sarcasm).

First off, I doubt you realize this, but you have branded him as an outcast from the day he was born. He will be mocked by many, and scorned by many more. He will grow to either love you for your gift (and then turn around and do something that'll make you ask, "What did we do to deserve that?!"), or hate you for everything you stand for.

I can only pray that some Christian out there is willing to speak to him when he's older, so that he may be saved, despite the legacy his parents cursed him with.

Awwwww.......wittle wucifer, how cute! You should also burn a pentagram into his little hand. Oh yeah, you should also get little horns surgically implanted in his skull, that way he can be branded for life and hated by just about every christian that he meets. And the emotional scarring will be minimal. What a great gift to give to your son! I'm sure you'll make an excellent father, assuming your son doesn't kill you in a satanic ritual when he's 15.

Just remember that your child cannot make a decision for himself now and so before you name him lucifer, ask yourselves if he'll grow to like the name or hate it. I hope you set your child off on the right road, the world is tough enough for him to start on it in the wrong direction.

Well, what's in a name? But, seriously, you did this on purpose because of the symbol 666 being the symbol for Satan...not so cool. Did you know Satan was the most beautiful angel in heaven? I have to wonder what kind of riticule or teasing your son will have to endure becasue of your choice name...........poor kid!

Give me a break. Your just saying that to freak us out. If you really named your son that he would never be able to live it down.
Although there was a bishop named Saint Lucifer.

I think that is awesome. But with a name like that in school he will most likely get teased...I hope he has a good middle name!

But still..rock on with the funniness.
