I wish all the best for you and your family. Also, I pray that your questions can add something to the rest of our lives. I would hope that others would have the courage to ask real questions, like you have been doing for so long. I would hope that people would have the strength to continue, as you have.
And I demand that all of the so-called righteous bigots of the fundamental type get down off their high horse, and humble themselves. The truth about sin and death is rendered ridiculous by their boastful arrogance. If only for Christs sake, have a heart! As God said it would be in the end, so it is...amen...

Well first off, sorry to hear about your son. I can understand your frustration. I myself have been cursed nearly as much as Job. Blaming Adam or Eve isn't the answer. In fact there is no "easy" answer.
Bad things happen to good people all the time. The "eating from the tree of knowledge", I believe, is just a metaphor for human nature. Because of this nature, humans have to take the good with the bad. While I do feel for you, I don't think it's Adam or Eve's fault.

First, there are two ways to look at Adam and Eve. First was their humanity as flesh and blood which are suceptible to wear and decay. Another is the spiritual Adam and Eve which goes beyond the current nature of life and takes us back from the original purpose of creation and on to the destiny of man in the sense of " all from God, for God and to God." I don't know how much you know of the Bible and the promises of God, that would defintely answer your question more apropriately and I pray that God will lead you to a capable and spiritual person that could help you. This forum may not be enough to give enough insight into you question.

Adam and Eve? Who told you his disease was Adam and Eve's fault? That's pure malachy man, what are doing believing them anyways? The only reason they're stating this to you is to keep you focused away from the problem; Sort of like a mirror, you look at it for a while but you don't really notice if someone next to you is looking at you.
I'm sorry about your son anyways, hope he gets better.

Every Christian who has a sick child asks this question. Answer" NO"
From the Time of Jesus Resurrection those Blood line sins were no longer. The Sins of the World are the reason for Sickness Pollution. Chemicals and the same things that will one day destroy the Earth. God is A healer though so put your faith in him, and accept what ever comes as Gods will. I lost a Son to Cancer and I know he is now with Jesus " Now where better could he be"?

I do not believe that Adam and Eve are the cause for bad things happening to good people. Christians will say that Adam and Eve caused "original sin" and, in the Cathollic religion, original sin is 'cleansed' when a baby is baptized. This mythology is no condolence for what you are going through.
Bad things do happen to good people for a reason (in my opinion). I don't think it's because the parents did anything wrong and they are being "punished". Things in life only happen to you if you can handle them. You are only given what you are strong enough to handle. If you feel like you aren't strong enough, the troubles in life will only make you stronger. Whether or not it is a higher power that causes these things to happen - I don't know. I just believe that everything that happens in life happens for a reason. This child is lucky to have parents who apparently care about him and want so badly for him to get better in health. I believe if you care about something bad enough to make it better - you can find a way.
Best of luck.

So you're saying that some unknown person said he had this tumor because of Adam & Eve, or that he got the tumor because of the sin of Adam and Eve? Sorry, I just don't get the question.
God doesn't make people sick, He doesn't give us diseases. Luckily, He did give us the knowledge to learn medicine and surgery, enabling your son to have the surgery to be rid of this tumor.
I'm sorry he has this disease, and will pray for him.

Jim,
I am so sorry for your son I know you have been in this fight a long time and yes I am still praying for you.
Christian theology teaches that
1.Perfection (Nature as a whole)
2.Wholeness (Spirit Soul and body)
3.Communion with God
are all part of God's original plan for mankind
BUT
Because of sin (the nature NOT the action) all things are now subject to corruption
Sin entered in to the human race through an act of disobedience to God's instructions.
The message of Christianity is that because of Christ:
Nature, Wholeness, Communion will once more be restored to mankind. The curse has been broken the healing will come one day.

It's not your fault.
Disease has no shame or boundaries as it hits everyone, not caring where it casts its seeds of despair. This will be one of the hardest things you'll have had to witness in your life and I'm so very sorry you have to go though this.
Young children tend to believe that the world revolves around them and they can. He has hope because he believes he can. You are a huge part of this you see?
Believe wholeheartedly and don't look back. Take those steps with him and believe in him as he does. You can do this.
The story of Adam and Eve is just that a story. You are living in reality of what is not some fantasy. Please don't let it take up space in your head.
Your friend, Sara

I personally don't think that your son is sick because of Adam and Eve. And, No. I don't take the Bible literally because a man wrote it. Still, I do believe in God.
But, I wouldn't use my son's affliction to make a point about religion. 99% of your questions involve denouncing God's existence. Why use your son's tumor as another way of doing this? It seems self-centered and pointless.
