If you are against the criticising of Islam by ignorant people, I am all for that. In fact, not just for Islam but for any other issue. Those who want to critique something should at least read enough to give a rational case. May I also ask if you think critical examination of Islam should also be stopped? By critical examination I mean the use of logic, history, and evidence to consider the claims of Islam and evaluate it.

I criticize bad things from every religion. One likes different religions by its people. And look at Islamic countries and what they want to turn their countries into medieval countries guided by some old Sharia law where you treat woman virtually like slaves as per the definition of a modern minded person.
Its fine if they lie to live that way, but they have started interfering in non-muslims lives by way of terrorism. If the Islamists are contained in their own box fight amongst each other, its OK.
Can you tell me a single Islamic country where they are confronting the black satanic forces of violent Islam amongst them. No !!.
The day I see Islamists do not bother non-muslims, I would stop criticizing them. But is it happening. All arab countries did not say a word when the Iraniam President says "Death to Israel". What do I make out of that.
Now the whole world is facing the biggest danger of this century "Islamic Fascism" and this has gone beyong criticism. We got to protect ourselves by every means.. Because Islamic countries enjoy when Islamic terrorisits spill the blood of non-muslims, they only bother when they do the same to them.
Wake up Islamists or be prepared to receive the wrath of all other peace loving people of the world.

Maybe will stop criticizing Islam when Muslim start criticizing extremists. We see people dancing in the streets on 9//11 throughout the Arab world, what would expect us to think about Islam?
The fact is Islam may be a peaceful religion, but the followers paint a different picture.

I believe that a good religion is one that inculcates good values in you as you live your years, or even at death or the after life. We should respect and accept that there are other religions out there with teachings and roots which are very different from our own.
We are human beings and many a times we need guidance, not only from our family or friends, but from our religion as well.
I believe what we frequently see on television, the ones that proclaim they fight in the name of their reigion, is more likely they are fighting for their own selfishness, sometimes blindness. If their so called religion calls for destructions, or rather killing of other man kind for their so called sacred purposes, then i think such believes should be condemned and these people should be enlightened.
My religion is buddhism. I respect other religions. I respect every mankind, but if others choose to show disrespect to the rest of human kind or religion, which I believe is still going on and will continue to happen, the world will not be at peace.

All my experiences and opinions of islam have been formed by the violence and hatred that seems to spout from one particular area. Sure, there are muslim americans who do not wish anyone ill will, but sadly there are nations in the middle east full of extremists bent on killing. And they don't care who they kill, as long as it is one american, even if they are muslim. So forgive me, but I am a little afraid of muslims. When they stop blowing people up, I may be able to form a better opinion of them, the world over.

I don't criticize anyone. What I will say is that you guys scare the hell out of me with all your comrades blowing themselves up and trying to kill innocent people as an attempt to attack our government. It's sad because I know that many Muslims are not this way, but the small group of you who are causing major catastrophic havoc across the world make non-Muslims look at you as evil.
Sorry, just my opinion.

Who's critising Islam? Are you generalising? Thru this question you have implied that everyone is critising Islam, and its not everyone probably just the ignorant few that make it to the news. Like you said know the truth first before you say it.

I agree with you...many people are nowadays discriminate by the actions or ill-beliefs of certain people with a common faith. It's not the religion, it's the wrong interpretation of certain things in Islam, which are mostly taken out of context and/or without knowing the historical background of things when referring to parts of the scriptures.
These 'Muslim terrorists' are people who either over emphasize on certain parts without having the proper understanding of things of their religion, or just don't have any other 'excuse' to give than that. If they would be having that proper knowledge and would follow their religion in the way it was meant to be, these things wouldn't be happening today.
Overall, its like hating your own self when you're unable to accept that you need air to breathe, but then blame others when you cause suffering when trying to breathe in something harmful...uhm...don't know if that last one makes sense to anyone...it's just my honest opinon on that...

How about we have Islam people stop criticizing all americans and israelis before they know the whole truth as well? We are not all in the military making the decisions, same as them.

NO!
When Islam/Muslims speak up against what the extreme fanatics are doing, and when the Islamics STOP saying they are going to kill all Christians, then and ONLY then will the criticism stop. Maybe.
The Crusades are OVER. It is the 21st century, it is time for Islam to realize that. When they do, then the criticism will stop.
Maybe.
When woman are allowed to be HUMAN, then the criticism will stop, maybe.
Until the Islams/Muslims stop slaughtering their children, when they can love their children and stop hating their neighbours, then the criticism will stop.
