but after some suffering and work it turned into something good. Who sent the original bad? Would that be God trying to make me something better, or the Devil trying to destroy me?

I'm just your average 17 yr old American teen.
I wanna be more like Christ because I know that he is the only one that will never disappoint me and I dont want to disappoint him either. I see him as my buddy and its a great feeling.
I'm battling a little addiction right now, but I have hope that I will come out victorious with the help of Christ.
Just give me what you got, any advice or tip on how I can grow more in the faith. (Read my profile)

There are many mass killer kings who were canonised because of political reasons or because some miracles can be associated with them. Now that the church is not as secular as it used to be, is it possible to put those "saints" to where they should belong?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say to "pray a little prayer to be saved," or to "ask Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior." There isn't an example of anything like that being done, nor was anybody told to do anything like that when they asked, "What shall we do?"

Does anybody know where this originated? Was it in some denominational creedbook or catechism?

There is no way that Henry VIII's divorce was justified according to Christ's teachings on divorce in the Gospels. In fact, Henry VIII was very guilty of adultery. However, Catherine would have been justified in divorcing Henry VIII. Yet according to Luke, and St. Paul, she could never have remarried. So, is the creation of the Anglican Church and Henry VIII's divorce of Catherine insane?

In Matthew it boils down to you can't divorce your wife unless she is unfaithful. In Mark the teaching could be construed to leave the door open for polygamy. It mentions nothing about a woman being unfaithful. It doesn't say that a man who marries a second women committs adultery. In Luke, the teaching is that a divorced woman cannot remarry. However, the man is free to divorce as long as he doesn't remarry? Luke makes no mention of a woman's unfaithfulness. In all three Gospels, the scenario of a man's unfaithfulness is never considered. Is this subtle misogyny?

The Word of God says many times that it is the Holy Spirit which is the seal/guarantee of one's salvation. If that be so, would anyone who does not have the gifts of the Spirit, or does not show the Spirit to be evident in his/her life be sent to Hell on the final day?

first i have to say that quran was revealed to prophet mohammad who couldn`t read or write 1400 years a go in arabia. the spritual and moral content and the devine beauties of the quran is so attractive that most people become muslims because of
the strong love between themselves and the one god(god of ibrahim, jesus, moses and others who is one god and has no partners or son or daughter), it is a book that when recited moves people to tears. a book that is memorised completely by millions of people
but some people are after proofs , they cant have faith easily, they are after signs
if you are like them,I want to share with you just some of the many many miracles of the quran.

WORD REPETITION IN THE QURAN

keep ind that quran is considered by arabs whether muslim or NOT as the greatest piece of arabic literatureand and it was impossible to just add or delete words in order to get these balances.

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur'an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

The number of repetitions of the words "plant" and "tree" is the same: 26

The word "payment or reward" is repeated 117 times, while the expression "forgiveness" (mughfirah), which is one of the basic morals of the Qur'an, is repeated exactly twice that amount, 234 times.

When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

The number of times the words "man" and "woman" are repeated in the Qur'an, 23, is at the same time that of the chromosomes from the egg and sperm in the formation of the human embryo. The total number of human chromosomes is 46; 23 each from the mother and father.

The word "salawat" appear five times in the Qur'an, and Allah has commanded man to perform the prayer (salat) five times a day

*****look at the complete list of word repetitions in the link for mathematical miracles below***

4-or in the qoran it is said that the universe is ever expanding which has been proven in recent years

5- it said there is cure in eating bee`s honey and it has been proven by doctors that honey has this effect

6-it said that sun and moon are rotating and it has been proven that they are rotating around their axeses

7-it is also mentioned that the earth is egg-shaped, not spherical, a fact which was recently discovered;

8-it also mentioned that the further the light travels in the universe, the weaker it gets, a fact now discovered by the theory of "tired light";

9-it also metions in detail the pulsar stars (al najm al tariq

and many more ....

dont forget that qoran says that christianity and judiasm was from
god too but prophet mohammad was the last prophet for mankind ,who had the
the same message that jesus and moses and abraham and other propohets had.
and that is to worship one god without partners.

*to non-muslims: what do you say about the miracles( they are too many to be coincidenses )?
* to muslims : why do they ignore the clear facts and proofs?

here is a link to some famous scientists point of view a bout the miracles in the quran.

I just read this quote and found that it qualifies as to what I believe a miracle is:
"Miracles... seem to me to rest not so much upon faces or voices or healing power coming suddenly near to us from afar off, but upon our perceptions being made finer, so that for a moment our eyes can see and our ears can hear what is there about us always."
