There is no way that Henry VIII's divorce was justified according to Christ's teachings on divorce in the Gospels. In fact, Henry VIII was very guilty of adultery. However, Catherine would have been justified in divorcing Henry VIII. Yet according to Luke, and St. Paul, she could never have remarried. So, is the creation of the Anglican Church and Henry VIII's divorce of Catherine insane?

It's not my place to judge what is or is not actually Satanic or who will or will not go to Heaven, or Hell.

However, with that said, a personal opinion is..... Insane? I wouldn't necessarily call it insane, but sinful? Yes, without question all these things were done contrary not only to Church Law but in direct opposition to actual teachings of Christ, the Apostles, and Christianity in General. To simply kick the church out and start a new does not make everything right.

Ole Henry had a choice, stay married to a wife he didn't want, or go for the gold with a woman he lusted after. As usual, Henry went for the lust. Right or wrong didn't really matter, what mattered to Henry was, besides the lust thing, having a son to inherit the throne, and for that son to be seen as a true heir to the British people, so he needed a church to acknowledge the legitimacy of the marriage. So basically, it had nothing to do with religion except that the catholic church said no to Henry, so he had to try something else, and he did.

Only as insane as much of the other religious activities of the time.
Henry was in charge so the world did as Henry willed. Whether that adds or takes away any credibility of the church is a matter of personal conviction.
See if this makes any sense..."render unto Henry the things that are Henry"s..render unto God the things that are Gods"...

Katerine was married to Henry's brother after all and there is no proof as to whether or not the marriage was consummated and if it had been then Henry's marriage to her would have been invalid and viewed as incestuous - so in that case the marriage could have been annulled. His divorce to Katherine wasn't insane, selfish yes, but not insane. Creating the Anglican church was a good thing as it allowed the masses to have more access to biblical teachings by allowing the bible to be printed in English.

Constantine invented Roman Catholicism, Henry VIII invented Anglicanism. It's just one ruler's word over another.

The Anglican church was created just so Henry could act against God's will and divorce his wife. Yes, it is wrong. You finally got one right, Mouthbreather.

It was a simple abuse of power - I don't like your church, so I'll just make my own that does what I want it to. Who's going to tell him no?

It's not like this hasn't happened thousands of times. Why do you think King James dictated the contents of the Bible? Power and politics. That's why you can't trust man's influence on religion.

No, not satanic, just the midlife crisis of a man with considerably more power than the average guy.

He was the king. He could do anything he wanted.
If you said no, then you died.
His acts were not in accordence with the Bible.
He was against God.
He was a pig.
He died badly.
He faced the judgement for what he did.
