I just read the book and the two most glaring errors were the claims that the Dead Sea Scrolls mentioned Jesus, and, the claims that the vote taken at the Council of Nicaea was close.

Other than that, it appeared to be fairly accurate. But, I'm not an art historian or familiar with Opus Dei or some of the other organizations mentioned.

Another glaring error was Paris police exercising authority on English soil. I am almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read that part. Unless England has some really odd laws, foreign (Paris police) agents do not have police power on English soil.

Uhm, the Da Vinci Code was a fictional novel...fiction=not real, pretend. Therefore, the movie was also not based in reality.

THe whole fact that old Leo was not at the actual event...meaning his painting is NOT a "snap shot" of what actually happened at the Last Supper but everyone acts like it is an picture of what happened..so the whole thing is WRONG!

the Da Vinci code has no errors in it, and it contains hundreds of prophecies that have been fulfilled, and it agrees 100% with science, and archeaology proves Dan Brown really walked on water and rose from the dead.

I have yet to see the movie, but I have seen a video about the mistakes. We need to remember it is supposed to be fiction.

Tom Hanks, playing a Harvard professor, repeated pronounced "library" as "li-berry" which drove me crazy.

so many, There's so many!! Mr. Brown said in his book it was ALL FICTION!! WHERE DO PEOPLE COME TO BELIEVE THIS IS REAL IF THE AUTHOR SAID IT WAS FAKE!!!!!!
