From over a decade of studying religions, I've come to the conclusion that:

Close to 80% of the Bible is false. People will yell and call me names for that but many of the stories are borrowed from older pagan religions (including the virgin birth and Resurrection) Furthermore, many KEY details in the bible have been misinterpreted. One of the biggest examples is the word, "virgin", when referring to Mary. "Virgin" actually did not mean then what it does now. Virgin at the time meant "young unmarried girl" not an actual physical virgin. So it was possible for a girl (Mary, for example) to have been with a man and still be called a virgin, as long as she was unmarried.

Some details such as a few things Jesus said and lineage can be historical facts but recently, a group of CHRISTIAN theologists agreed that 80% of what the bible claims that Jesus said, he most likely did not say.

And I also believe Jesus did not die on the cross. He and Mary Magdalene stayed together and had children. And no, for those of you who think I got this idea from the DaVinci code, I thought this long before the book came out.

OK, God didn't give Jesus the Bible. God gave Moses the 10 Commandments. I think you are confused. The bible was written by disciples who were there.
Christianity is the belief that Jesus died on the cross, descended into hell and rose again on the third day to save us all from death and hell.
If you don't believe Jesus died on the cross you are not a Christian.

hmm, the old testament existed long before Jesus, and the New testament was written after he died (and rose) so it wasn't given to Jesus.
The current bible was assembled, edited, (butchered) by the Roman Catholic Church. The gospels of Thomas, Judas (yup, Judas wrote one too) and others were omitted.
Did a bound copy of the King James flutter down into the hands of Thomas Aquinus? nope.
The current bible you read is more like the "drive thru" version, and for the "true gospel" there's some work involved.

God didn't give the Bible to Jesus.

The Bible is comprised of many books, all of which were written after Jesus's death.

I don't think anyone contests that Jesus died on the cross; it's the Resurrection that some have difficulty with.

How many... is like taking census. There are groups/sects/churches who believe it to be so. One example is The Unitarians Church. Biblical scholars who keep on giving us newer versions of the Bible after strenuous research, have been differing among themselves on many Issues, as great as this one.

flippantly i visit target to communicate respectfully to you about my reviews. i'm hoping you in turn will provide me understand. besides to being an rather good instructor and understanding an rather good preparation danger even as he observed 1 (examine the Fig tree in CONTEXT and then you tell ME what he grow to be attempting to assert. it is obtrusive.), area of my personal beliefs are that Jesus grow to be God, yet God in a constrained style. So even as accepting the limitations of humanity that ALLOWED him to die for our sins, he also had to settle for the limitations that allowed him to be tempted-he grow to be totally human, so as that once he made his sacrifice it would want to recommend something. it is like a chicken.....a chicken is a chicken because it flies. yet when it chooses to diminish itself by technique of strolling as they do each so commonly, it isn't a lot less of a chicken. So my beliefs are that in order to make a actual sacrifice of himself, he had to totally settle for being human, with each difficulty. because he grow to be God in spirit he grow to be able to upward push above an dedicate no sin, yet because his body and mind were human, he grow to be nevertheless able to be tempted. IMO, that still solutions the different issues-he had standard human limitations and therefor his human options might want to no longer draw close Godly information. that's likewise why he reported in uncomplicated words the daddy knew particular issues. inspite of the undeniable fact that the Bible is sparkling that even as they were one spirit ("Any guy who has considered me has considered the daddy" and others) that Christ grow to be constrained as a results of voluntary human state, and did have diverse features that were an instantaneous effect of human difficulty. My faith isn't silent, neither is it fragile. I actually have responded in actual actuality what i'm hoping were honest questions. those are merely my beliefs. and also you're extremely annoying and rude. I actually do not call for that you justify your beliefs to me and then belittle your faith or lack therof even as your solutions do no longer fulfill me. Why so indignant?

None.
If you don't believe then you are not a Christian.
To be a Christian is to believe in Jesus. Not to be a church goer.
