It would profit only a man that desires not to do good for himself at the cost of mankind, but to sacrifice himself to do good for mankind. This man would be able to change the world in such a way as it was meant to be, but at the cost of his own future, his own life, afterlife, next life. When you give up your soul, you have no future other than what the person who owns your soul has in store for you. So, what would you do if offered?
I wouldn't take it. I believe that I can still make the world change, even if it takes 1000 lifetimes to do so. So I need my soul.

I am not sure what you are seeking personally but I know that God is referring to man being rich and worldly and losing his soul due to these things. It is harder fora camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven. That makes both impossible.

How very true but.... yes.. but in this day and age.. people just do not give a damn(pardon my French) but it makes me very angry. People of this day would gladly sell their soul for a new car or even $5. The world of today and particulary in the U.S. is all about money. I was visiting friends in Honduras and I told them(or tried to explain to them) that in HOnduras, they go to church to pray to God but in the U.S., most of the people pray to the dollar.

WHo cares about the world? This is a temporary dwelling. God just loaned it to us to see what we would do with it. Why do you have to lose your soul? Give it to God, and your not lost.
