I know there are plenty of theings to believe in that don't link to religion, but for anyone, do you just believe in nothing (at times or all the time)? How does this make you feel?

I would be terribly depressed all the time...

Ok so I was in church today during worship and I was excited for God. I happened to glance around the room and hardly anyone was singing or even smiling. Whats their problem today? (not meant to sound that harsh but seriously?! Why be there if you dont want to be?)

Ever since I was about 10 I have wondered about this question. I was brought up Jewish, but as I got older I started to question all sorts of faith. So I thought about it. In Genesis, it says God created the world in seven days. Yet there is scientific proof that the dinosaurs existed for thousands of years with no humans around. Some people will say that those each of those days actually lasted for thousands of years.

So my question is: No one disputes the existence of dinosaurs. There are skeletons in every history museum in the country. So if Adam and Eve definitely existed, which came first?

I personally believe in evolution. But I would be interested to see what others say on this subject.

Jesus Christ was White

"I, Jesus, sent My messenger to testify these things to you over the Body Politics. I am the Root and Race of David, the bright and morning Star."
----
Jesus stated he is as the same race as David

"Now so soon as David appeared at his father's summons - a boy with golden blonde skin, with fiery eyes and in other ways handsome - "
----
The Bible also states David was white

So, according to the Bible, If Jesus is of the same roots and race as David, and David was white..Then that makes Jesus white also..right?

That was why he told me to "Shut up" today before we went to church. I felt like screaming and crying. I also felt like wanting to go to a friend's house, and called another friend twice. At that point, she yelled at me. What do you think I should do about it?

Our world seems to be getting increasingly more savage and self-centered. Why do so few people choose to do good things instead of bad? Why are so many people self-interested- happy to let the world destroy itself? Jesus was mainly concerned with bringing as much of heaven as we could here - to make our lives better today. Even if you're an athiest, you can see the value of good over evil.

If God is extremely handsome or pretty then we might fairly say that ugly people are further from God than beautiful people. Surely the closer we are to God's beauty the more favorably God created us.

You might give me the "talons" story....fine, keep that as a possiblity and then ask why God has to be concerned enough about his looks to make himself so beautiful...doesnt that take the emphasis off what its all supposed to be about....inner beauty...right, thats the whole religious premise in a nutshell..isnt it?

If God is made in our image, then there is an image and this has some human-like appareance that we can rate.

Maybe God has a Shrek twist waiting for us...

Not just the kind Jesus did when he walked the planet, but modern day miracles? an example is medical science. when a doctor tells a cancer patient that he/she has 2 months to live, and the person exceeds that and lives up to age 30? there's Plenty of examples like that, so what do you think about miracles?

So, officially I am not anymore a member of the church. The reasons being mainly spiritual. The christian religion and all other religions felt something I don't need anymore. My resignation symbolises the beginning of my personal journey towards my own spirituality. PS. I know that this probably doesn't interest you much, but anyway I thought that this question might bring out some interresting opinions.

If it's ok for muslims to shout all over the neighbourhood 'allahwhogaybar', then why am I being victimised for my own call to prayer? Most nights around 1am, I get up on the roof and wearing full Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler uniform of the SS, play Hitlers' speeches on a superbly loud stereo.I also goosestep up and down the roof giving the nazi salute and shouting through my loudhailer for 'Stuka support'.Why are muslims aloud to annoy everyone, and a good old fashioned Nazi like me is considered a nuisance?
I'm baffled on this one and I'm so cross, I'm thinking of withdrawing my Panzers from Tobruk.(Rommel has just said he won't,but he will if I tell him to)

In our Judeo-Christian society, the documents collectively known as the Bible serve as the primary guide on most issues. It is interesting that many Christians take literally the references to homosexual acts, while interpreting other text with great flexibility. One person reported listening to a nationally-known woman speak in her campaign against homosexuality. She spent quite a bit of time quoting impressively from Leviticus. The listener accepted much of what the speaker said until he realized that, by Levitical standards, the crusader herself had broken many biblical laws – she spoke in church (1 Corinthians 14:34), she taught men (1 Timothy 2:12), she was wearing a dress made of cotton and polyester (Deuteronomy 22:11), and others of which he was probably unaware.

What does the Bible really say about homosexuality? Actually, very little. Most significantly, Jesus said nothing at all. Considering the relatively small amount of attention the Bible pays to the subject, we must ask ourselves why this is such a volatile issue. Other subjects about which the scriptures say a great deal (e.g. judgment, pride, hypocrisy) receive much less passionate attention. Before looking at specific passages, it is important to note that everyone understands the scriptures based on, and through, the light of what they have been taught. The Bible was not written in a cultural void, and many of its instructions and laws are simply classified as less relevant today (e.g. prohibition against eating pork).

Nowhere does the Bible actually address the idea of persons being lesbian or gay. The statements are, without exception, directed to certain homosexual acts. Early writers had no understanding of homosexuality as a psychosexual orientation. That truth is a relatively recent discovery. The biblical authors were referring to homosexual acts performed by persons they assumed were heterosexuals

The difference between for Islam and Judaism and Christianity is Jesus. That's about it. The concept of what God is and what He is like is apparently the same, to the most "enlightened" spiritual people of all three religions. Jew reject Jesus as Messiah. Muslims reject Jesus as God, but accept Him as Messiah. Christians accept Jesus as both. People will site verses form all the religions to seperate the, but, in reality, to those who know nothing of God, but have studied Him intensely there is a concensus on what God is like, but not exactly how to worship Him.

Maybe its all just salt.

Ive been going to womens life Clinic for about 5 years. I have had probably 6 abortions total due to the fact I wasnt ready 3 of the times. 1 other time I was sick and had to abort, and the other 2 times I changed my mind because i had to move, So i had legitimate reasons to do all of this.

The reason I am mad is the doctor keeps charging me the same price. I asked for a discount and he said NO. Should I just take my business elsewhere because I got pregnant again last month and I might keep this one. Im not sure though
