Ok so I was in church today during worship and I was excited for God. I happened to glance around the room and hardly anyone was singing or even smiling. Whats their problem today? (not meant to sound that harsh but seriously?! Why be there if you dont want to be?)

People are prone to laziness, boredom, lack of interest, lack of active, thriving faith.... This is the way it is. If you are around people, expect some of those people to exhibit these traits.

Be there for yourself. Be the example. Be what you wish others were.

That is all you need to do, my friend.

Why look at the splinter that is in your brother's eye and not see the log that is in your own?

I don't say that to be mean. I say that to be instructive. Always look to what your own flaws are instead of to what others' are.

We all get discouraged sometimes. Sometimes we feel so excited and convicted and then when we feel alone in that, we get discouraged. You think about you and about your spirituality. Don't let others influence your fire for Christ. There are too many extinguishers in the world....we don't need to focus on anymore! I know your frustration. I have often been discouraged when I am on fire for something or a ministry and it seems no one else is. We all get convicted at different times on different things. Run the good race and keep your shoes on tight. Pray for those at your church. Consider where you might be in error, in your assessment of them. We will get frustarted and discouraged. God is not looking at a whole, He is looking at an individual and he expects us to look to Him solely. Pray this week for your church and yourself. Then next Sunday, maybe you will see a difference.

Sounds like many of them are "Starved for the Truth".
What is being taught in your Church? Is it a one verse rev, that is read 1 verse from the bible and then for an hour telling you what it means and what you have to do and where you should go and how you need to do this and that and this other?

The famine in the last days is not for bread but for the truth!

You can't judge someones faith by how crazy they go at church.
