Most people seem to have a hard time doing this when it comes to GOD and the BIBLE the priciple reasoning is the same.like Men landing on the moon did you see that or hear that, there are very few that actually saw that with their own eyes you know it could of been all set up by the GOVT. Or the Holocaust that could of been faked 50 yrs or so there wont be anyone around who saw that one either How about the Assassination of Pres. Lincoln that was fake to of course there's alot more Nostradamus many people believe that one no prob.there..but have a hard time believing there at one time on this earth was a man named Jesus. Selective reasoning is going to cause more people to be wrong than just about anything. At least Christians get around that by admitting their belief is by faith in what you can not see or prove what is your way in getting around your reasoning delema it seems the problem is with what is believed not the faith issue if it was really know.. come on be honest

Then why in so many branches of the Christian faith women are not allowed to be preachers, preists, teachers etc. Don't you think that Christianity has evolved beyond that? Do we still go on crusades and kill Muslims? Do we still have an Inquisition to kill and toruture Jews? Do we still hang witches or burn them at the stake? Can we not separate what Paul instructs as what is spiritual and what is cultural according to his time?

There is a doctrine which states: "When we get to heaven we will not know one another." In plain words this doctrine says: "We will not be able to remember, recognize or know those that we have known in this life."
But,
David, stricken with grief, and with the body of his dead child yet unburied, said, "Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me."

This statement of the grieving father is significant only if when he should "go to" the child he would be conscious of being the child's father, and being in the child's presence.
So, will we know one another in Heaven?

God represents love, unity, and morals. To sit back and accuse the faith of being judgemental and hypocritical is the "kettle calling the pot black". Its just like saying all blacks are crooks because a black was reported stealing a car on the news last nite or all whites are racist because it was reported a group of whites burned a cruifix on black familys' yard. Stereotyping or "labeling" is accepted as being wrong in our society but when it comes to Christians the rule doesnt apply. That is biogtry in its purest form. Racism is not an issue anymore, for the most part whites and blacks get along just fine.Hatred against the Christian Faith and Morals is the new age "racism". The Christian Faith is not corrupted, some who "claim" to be Christians are the corruption. A hatred driven individual will respond to these statements in the following way: Attack on the Faith Attack on the Individual and Endorsement of Personal Opinion. The Bible and its contents represent love and truth

You don't understand because satan has blinded you and you don't know Jesus. The bible says the fool has said in his heart that their is no God. See that, it is not us who calls you fools, but the word of god. Our brains are washed by the blood of the lamb of god. When you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you no longer have to think so much. He takes care of everything for us. That is why we have less stress and more peace. So quit mocking our Jesus before he gets real angry and sends one of the brothers to take care of you. God loves you, repent before it is too late.

Something I thought of while watching Constantine. If you were in a situation where you could prevent someone who deserves to go to heaven from going to hell, and the only way to do that was to volunteer to go to hell yourself, how would God feel about that? As it's been suggested in movies and literature many times, it's possible that God would then spare your soul AS WELL AS the person you were saving, simply because of your sacrifice. But what do you think God would value more- a willingness to sacrifice yourself for another, or love for Him? If you chose to save the other person's soul, then it might appear as though your love for God (and your desire to be with Him) is not great enough.

So which is it? If you chose to save the person's soul, would God view that as the ultimate selfless act, or would He view it as a less-than perfect love for Him?

It would seem that people are so concerned with every word of the Bible being written by God (literally) that any other idea shakes their faith so as to make them attack others. (verbally, not physically) Why?

Were people really supposed to come up with intelligent answers

Or was it supposed to get the student's brain to shut down and

that can be intellectualized?
