I have a dear friend who is also an atheist, and I'm a christian. We've had many debates on the subject. She says that christians look down on all other religions and see them as pure evil, but I don't. I'm very open minded, and I think she should see my point of view as well as hers. If you're an atheist, what are your opinions on religions?

Are there glory holes in those confession booths? The priest at the church next door is very hot. I do not know how to approach him for sex. I thought the booth would be my best bet.

when i say muslim most people get the idea that they are terrorists and crazy people. this is untrue and has been fed to mindless inbred morons who think it is true. first of all a Muslim is derived from the word peace Islam is derived from the word peace we are not bad people we do not want to destroy america and we don't accept the way other muslims are crashing planes and bombing buildings people who dont understand islam cannot see that it is a peaceful religion and to understand it you have to be willling to learn about it here is what everyday i face in my muslim life

1. hatefull insults
2. steriyotypes
3. and many more things

just cause 2 idiots bombed a tower doesnt mean it was the rest of us just cause some nutjob decideds to blow himself up doesnt mean it is the rest of us so please start treating muslims as you would treat any other religion

I've asked this before (kinda) but I'm wondering if anyone here has the interpretation of dreams gift. No one bother saying that that is not what God does any more b/c the Bible says that that's not true and you can't persuade me otherwise. Anyway, anyone have the gift of interpretation of dreams? much thanks!

i mean, there's no legitimate religion that says you can kill people or stealing is fine etc.
Are there any religious professionals amongst us who would be so bold as to admit the scary truth?

I am sure everyone here as had a moment in life when they've found themself thingking; Why me? Why this? Why now?

Have you ever looked back on that moment and thought about what it ment, wondered if it had a deeper meaning?

After some reflection this is what I've come up with.

There is a reason for everything that happens in life. Sometimes you are ment to learn something from the experience. Other times you are ment to teach someone else something. You may find yourself in the same situation twice but I think there are several reasons for that. You may not have learn't the lesson you were ment to the first time around. Or there may have been another lesson to be learnt from the situation that you were not able or ready to grasp before. Maybe the lesson was for someone else and you were simply the best person to teach it or the best example to use.

The lesson in any given situation maybe hard to spot but there is always one there. At least I think so.

Ok...I'm Catholic, raised to believe that God doesn't put anything in front of you that you can't handle....I believe that if you pray for help, He will help. I just simply believe that Jesus and God and our Mother Mary were all there to help us when we need it. So..I need the help, I've fallen to my knees and begged for help. For a couple of days I felt like they were helping me,,,but now I'm feeling worse then when I asked for help. I've lost someone I loved dearly, and the pain is more than I can handle, I don't mean a death, because I know my loved ones go to heaven and are happy. I had to let the love of my life go, and it destroying me. I begged God, and Jesus to help me, to null the pain just a bit so I can function....and for a few days it seemed better, and I thanked God everyday for helping....I just don't know where to turn,,,,I pray, and I pray, and I beg, ... I've had to deal with alot in my life, an abusive husband, depression, what else can i do?

Now some Christians are saying that the generational clock started when Israel recaptured Jerusalem in 1967. Well, that generation ends next year. If Jesus doesn't come back by then, what will be the next popular christian reinterpretation of that verse to keep people believing in biblical prophecy. The really Ironic thing is that verse was originally talking about a generation that ended almost 2000 years ago. Isn't this "Our generation is the last generation" game that Christians have played every generation for the last 2000 years to generate more profit fascinating?

Remember the good old days when Christians claimed America by Manifest Destiny and killed all the savage Indian terrorists so that they could invent Freedumb? I sure hope the Jews can do the same in the Middle East.
