No, a human cannot defeat the devil for all people. With God's help, a human can "defeat" the devil's hold on his or her own life. But as for defeating the devil himself, negative.
Yes, the devil is superior in power to a human. As far as "spiritually superior," that is hard to answer, since the devil, while more powerful, hasn't got a superior spirituality.
Lucifer used to be an angel, God's favorite. God gave him many gifts, including spiritual strength. Lucifer freely chose to turn against God, and God did not take away Lucifer's strength when that happened.
But all you need to know is that the devil is way more powerful than you or me. But God is way more powerful for the devil.

I believe the devil should be taken seriously. He's part of our life, even with God. But we shouldn't join him by committing sins like greed, and start wars with violence. We should be virtuous like God and his angels. So he's spiritually superior to humans, but God's the omnipotent superior to all of us. He can be taken out of existence if we don't let him exist in our life with sin.

It wouldnt be fun if the humans could take him out. God knows how to make it exciting. Also if people stop beliving in him, he will probably die because he gets strength from that, but we all know that will never happen. So in conlusion we are stuck with him, and yes he is superior to us for he can kill us and make bad things happen to him and we cannot make anything happen to him, cuz we are just weak beings convinently.
