God gave Dr. the knowledge to help people. so medicines are fine. Yes I believe in faith healing because I was battling depression and meds didn't help. I took every med on the market for depression. My faith in God wasn't right and he showed me in a dream that He was the only one who could deliver me from it. When I finally put all my trust in the Lord He delivered me. The preacher isn't the healer, Jesus is.

I am an accomplished healer. The reason most people disbelieve in healers is obvious. When you see charlatains like Peter Poppoff on the stage with his employees pretending to be lame, throwing their crutches in the air and other foolishness like that, who would believe? I sure wouldn't. Let's put the record straight. Too many Christians preach that only Christ Jesus can heal. Ignoring their own bible which tells of the Apostles healing. Ignoring Lourdes.
ETC. Of course they also try to replace GOD but that's another story.
GOD has worked through various people throughout the ages by healing people through them. Why? Why would GOD work through a human when GOD has the power to heal the world in one fell swoop? What would happen if the world woke up tomorrow healed and well? First of all, every preacher would jump up and try to take the credit for it. The athehists would say "That's a good deal" and go about their business. Each religion would then argue over who actually did the healing. So again, why use human's? Before I do a healing, I require the person to say a prayer of thanks to GOD for the healing. Notice I said before. This way the person knows and feels that it is GOD healing them and not me.
I said accomplished, contact me at my web site for further details. www.internationalhealers.org
Notice it is org and not com. I am not commercial

Faith healers are no more or less genuine than psychics, mediums, dinviers, clairvoyants, or any other pseudo-science tool. They all use some trick of reason or logic or flat-out gimmick that gives the illusion of them having some sort of supernatual power. Some of the magic industry standard tricks are in their bag o' tools, such as sleight-of-hand, optical illusions, hidden microphones, manipulation, deception, actors in the audience, etc. but they also employ some some tricks that would definitely be considered advanced for a standard stage show, such as cold reading (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_reading).
Although none of these so called "healers" actually have the supernatural powers they claim to have, there can be psychosomatic effects on people who believe the hype, although the scope of these effects is usually temporary, and are no more effective than hypnosis. Unfortunately, someone who believes their cancer was cured by some quack faith healer will stop taking their medication or going to the doctor, believing they are healed. This is the worst aspect of these scams: the hundreds if not thousands of victims who stop receiving genuine health-care because they've been deceived.
Of course, this doesn't mean that the faith healers are knowingly scamming people: I'm sure some percentage actually believe in their powers and, because they don't critically evaluate their "skills" and no one seriously challenges them, they continue to skate by, fooling almost everyone around them, including themselves.

My Two Cents
Faith Healers: Having faith and a positive attitude can help anyone, sick or not.
Herbal Medicine: I see no harm in trying them and believe that many do actually work for some problems.
Modern Science: I would definitely use this as well, but do your own research and if you don't agree with one doctor seek a second opinion.

Placebos work on occasion.
Faith should not replace medicine, it should be used to compliment it.
Herbal medicine does work but one really needs to do their research and understand the side effects as well as the benefits. Some herbal remedies will conflict with medication being taken so asking a pharmacist/doctor would be advised before attempting to treat something with herbs while on other medication given by a doctor.

i dont mind them, if people want to believe that god can heal them, i have no problem with it, maybe god does heal them. but people who were trated by a faith healer tend to believe that they dont require any medical help anymore and that they dont have to see doctors, which just makes their disease or injury worse. and theres nothing wrong with herbal medicine either, im not cristian and my family has been using it to treat small ailments for generations. i hate taking the stuff but it does help sometimes.
faith healers and homemade medicine can only go so far as to treat things like sore throats or mild fevers.it would be best to consult a doctor if it gets serious

no I think some faith healers are real and anointed from God.....I have seen some people come out of cots and wheel chairs at some services...and then at other services nothing..... and those who go seeking healing are not crazy maybe they are seeking from the Lord the only way they know how....we just don't know and cant judge them...but I would hate to be one that discourages someone from going to one in case their healing is there....what does it hurt if it is not they are no worse for when they went in ...but if they do get healed then it was worth it all.....

There you are: faith in the Word. See? You couldn't save no one. And preaching the Gospel of salvation doesn't make you a Divine Saviour, no more than preaching Divine healing makes me a Divine healer, but it's the faith in God's spoken Word. In talking to you, I want you to believe this, that God knows all things, and what He's trying to do, is to get you in condition to receive Him as your Healer, just something stimulate the faith that's in you. May the poor sick, and crippled, and afflicted people, by arms of faith reach out, and embrace Jesus Christ as their Healer. If your faith has been built upon somebody, some Divine healer, or somebody professing that's got something when they haven't, then you're gone. And there's a Spirit in here that's trying to work through to you to get your spirit to accept what this Spirit's a saying, to elevate your faith to a place to accept Jesus as your Healer, not accept it from your mind, accept it from your heart. And may you make your decision to embrace Him into your heart as Simeon of old, and may you with strong arms of faith cradle Him into your bosom today, and take Him as your Saviour and Healer, is my prayer. How many in here are sick, and you want God to heal you, and you believe you have sufficient faith to receive Christ as your Healer, and you believe that I've told you the truth, that you could look to heaven, now, and pray, and God will speak that, the things that You are praying for? The only thing we can pray for is this: that your faith will not fail, that you'll come to the altar to accept Christ as your Healer as you did for your Saviour. How can He be your Lord and Healer if He can't get your heart's door of faith open? So God is the Healer, and faith in God, it's a finished work. If you've been anointed and prayed for, God's waiting to see what you'll believe about it, not run up next Sunday, and run the next day unto the next healer comes through the city; He's waiting to see your reaction on your faith, not walk back next day and say, "I feel so bad; I don't guess I got healed." Faith cometh by hearing; God is the Healer. When you're turned loose after you're prayed for, and the prayer of faith has been said, or you've accepted Christ as your Healer, I don't care who tells you something different, if you're a eagle, you'll hold to God's promises. And then by your own faith you accept Jesus as your Healer and you're healed. We're here to elect our Lord Jesus as our King in our hearts, our Governor, our faith Giver, our God, our Healer, our Saviour. God is the Healer, and your faith in what God has already done for you. If your intellectuals does tell you that this is the Truth, God is the Healer of sickness, your mind can witness that that is the Truth; but if there is not the bedding ground in your heart, faith, to fall in to express it, it will not happen.

i be responsive to that God has given adult adult males the understanding to make and improve drugs, because of fact He knew that some does not be waiting to settle for faith healings. drugs are purely no longer as stable because of fact the genuine concern from God. while God heals the drugs are out the door. It has surpassed off for me that way.

In my experience, true faith healings tend to be spontaneous and not planned events.
