Most people seem to have a hard time doing this when it comes to GOD and the BIBLE the priciple reasoning is the same.like Men landing on the moon did you see that or hear that,there are very few that actually saw that with their own eyes you know it could of been all set up by the GOVT. Or the Holocaust that could of been faked 50 yrs or so there wont be anyone around who saw that one either How about the Assassination of Pres. Lincoln that was fake to of course there's alot more Nostradamus many people believe that one no prob.there..but have a hard time believing there at one time on this earth was a man named Jesus. Selective reasoning is going to cause more people to be wrong than just about anything. At least Christians get around that by admitting their belief is by faith in what you can not see or prove what is your way in getting around your reasoning delema it seems the problem is with what is believed not the faith issue if it was really know.. come on be honest

I am not 100% certain that the moon landing was real. I am fairly certain that the holocaust happened. Why? Because there are records, the camps are there, there are people alive today who witnessed it. There is too much evidence to deny it. There is currently no evidence for the existence of God (or against, for that matter) that does not rely on a bias in favor of whichever it is you're trying to prove. Some things simply have more objective credibility than others.

The word "faith" could only be used in believing in something intangible or anything you did not see. You just feel it. What you see and do everyday is based on what is neccessary as you go about life daily life and it and we call it "experience".

Well, you can't actually see the air you breathe, but it's there. You can't actually see gravity, but the force exists. You can't actually see or smell natural gas, but it exists AND we add methane to the natural gas so it can be detectable to the nose.
Believing that man evolved from an ape and that all living things on earth EVOLVED from one single cell takes more faith than believing in a creator and that the creator sent his only son to die for our sins. If you literally created something so alive and so special (like us), you would do anything to give them hope and peace.
