Women are allowed to preach and teach. If paul was to be taken literally, women wouldn't be allowed to speak, period. Not praying, not running the nursery, not singing, silent would mean silent. So apparently there must have been something else going on. The women were in the balconies yelling down to their husbands, since they weren't taught, by law.
Paul was telling husbands to break man's law, and teach their wives at home, so they wouldn't disrupt church.
We are all brides of Christ, men and women. And yes there is order in the church for God is a God of order. No one should be yelling in the middle of a sermon.
If women aren't supposed to preach why are there so many in the old and new testament that do?
and what is the verse below for?
Acts 2:17-18
7 "'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
NIV
be blessed in Jesus.

The verse is telling us that today there is no favorite people in God eyes. Salvation is offer to all that would believe and trust in the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins if we would believe. When you believe and trust in that you are put in the body of Christ by the Spirit and then we are all one in Christ. It has nothing to do with your position in the local church. nor killing Muslims or going on crusades. You need to check the your history Christians never went on crusades or killed anybody.1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

If more people read the Christian Bible through that lens, then there would be more equality in the religion. However, there is another version that a different writer (who wrote signed Paul's name to it) wrote at a different time that said that women need to sit down and shut up, and they can't teach men. (This was written at a later time, and scholars agree that Paul did not write this.) However, the church, run by men, likes to read the CB through that lens instead. They also didn't allow the gospel according to Mary Magdalene in the book, so what does that tell you?

You mustn't take this literally. Of course there are different races, religions and practices of faith. The bible tells us that women should be silent in church (as far as preaching) and that they should obey their husbands. Well, if you are married then you should know that "obey" has been removed from marriage vows! We have to read what the Bible tells us and then apply it to our own situations in todays world. You certainly wouldn't take an adulteress into the town square ans stone her to death. Or would you? I think that we all have our own definition of what the Scriptures mean and that some of them are really not meant to be taken literally, but we are all children of GOD.

Mankind is really nasty isn't it?
Proves that we need a savior.
If left to our own desires we would destroy each other.
Paul was talking to Christians, not anyone else.
He talked to his own.
How is written?
2 Pet 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
He knew that when the apostles were gone the false teachers would arrive, that is why it was written down.
The watering down continues to today.
That is the way it is supposed to be.
Those saved will be saved, those lost, lost.

Not if you're a Muslim. Islam is still in the dark ages and has a long way to go to catch up with Christianity

You need to spend more time "understanding" what you read, than to move along to more verses you can't comprehend.
