I AM one! I came back from a coma and was facing certain death in 1995 when my severe 3rd degree burns were complicated by an idiopathic Pseudomonas infection which led me into Septic Shock and I went into coma and was supposed to die....I was surrounded by born again prayer warriors....I wasn't supposed to make it, but with prayer and God working a miracle of HIS will, I am here today.►◄●►

I think God often does step in and He does hard-to-believe things, but He more often works through people. Sometimes miracles are hard to spot. They're not so in-your-face. Sometimes miracles are as simple as lives turned around - from lost people turned into happy, productive people. If God can change a once athiest like me into someone trying to spread the joy of His kingdom here, he can cure a cancer or move a mountain. It takes faith, prayer, and joy.

Very smart of you to mention that surviving cancer bit. Miracles are going on around us every day, but God just like playing things subtly. Our uncanny ability to even think that God exists is a miracle in itself, although many people believe it's just random chance that we can think. If someone survives cancer, you can either see it as just a fluke or high achievement of medical science, or you can see it as God not plucking the person down so early from life.

(I believe that God likes working behind a cloak of subtlty so that faith in Him is all the stronger, despite all the evidence that says He may not even exist.)

I do believe in miracles, the're all around us every day. I myself crashed my pickup a few years back. everyone said that I shouldn't be alive, But I walked away from the crash with only a cut on my arm and pieces of glass all over me. No one could get their arm into the truck it was smashed so bad. I was wearing my seat belt. It was still buckled and there was blood inside the truck. even some on my Bible, The windshield was shattered, but still intact. A miracle? I think so!

They're happening at an alarming rate. Especially in the missionfield. Some people are even being raised from the dead. I encourage you and those interested to read up on books on the subject of missionary work and miracles involved there, or speak to the head of missions at your local church.

It's an amazing world out there, despite the West's tendency to be much more naturalistic in their worldview.

miracle = a marvelous event manifesting a supernatural act of God

Miracles are acts performed by God (if you are not God you cannot perform miracles) - letting someone live when Science says they should be dead is more of a scientific flaw.

I do not believe God does miracles like He did when Jesus was Here - but God can do anything He wants - He is the Almighty.

I think the types of miracles that Christ did were the real deal; I have not seen or heard of any true miracles, and I have been in the health care profession for 25 years.

A miracle happens in many different ways. A person will know the miracle when it happens to them, unless they are blinded with hate.

Of course they do exist. I am a walking miracle. A miracle, per your example can be interpreted as something beyond human reasoning or explanation.
