Our world seems to be getting increasingly more savage and self-centered. Why do so few people choose to do good things instead of bad? Why are so many people self-interested- happy to let the world destroy itself? Jesus was mainly concerned with bringing as much of heaven as we could here - to make our lives better today. Even if you're an athiest, you can see the value of good over evil.

People are very consumed with worldly rewards and have forgotten their relationship with God and Jesus. Good for you for spreading the word today.

There is allot of good in this world. Te problem is the media. When you watch the news you will see every story possible about the robbery down the street, or the kid who was shot down in a gang fight, or of the mother who through her kid in the dumpster. However when something good happens it doesn't appeal to the press because it isn't exciting like Hollywood. So it doesn't get any news or media coverage. We are completely saturated with all the bad things that happen. However, we hardly ever hear of the good things. I suggest going to this website http://www.krxq.net Go to the rob Arnie and dawn link. In there the radio DJ Dawn has a section on her page called " Its a wonderful life" It is filled with all the amazing stories that happen nationally and never get any coverage because it has a happy ending.

You only notice the savage, self-centered world because that's what makes the news. A few terrorists attack American soil, and we interpret the entire Muslim community of the world to be a race of raging nutterballs. A few neo-nazis clammor for their right to have a pride march down main street, and everyone thinks that all white people are racist assh*oles. I live by The Golden Rule, and am trying to make my immediate world as good as it can get. But since I'm doing that, you've never heard of me or my actions before, have you? *l*

It's like they always say; no news it good news.

I like to do good and sometimes people call me the good deed doer but just once I'd like to be a little bad to stir up some kind of brew! Really I don't know why people have to be so cranky . I guess they are just stressed out and the others are born under a bad sign! I brought sunshine today when I made breakfast extra special for my family after working on tile at a job for 13 hours and driving home for 2 hours just to see the sun rise. And it did!

there is truth to this
yet it was prophesied by Jesus that the world would get worse up to the end of the wicked people.

Then under inspiration Peter tells us this.
The earth itself will not be destroyed. It is those who are wicked that will be destroyed.
2 Peter 2

Atheists most certainly can see the value of good deeds.

Your condescending tone about this, however, was unnecessary.
