Do you ever get this overwhelming feeling to do something to help another person?

Where does this feeling come from?

How do you think a person feels when they have been helped?

Do you feel anything from helping someone?

How can more people realise that this is such a worthwhile act and treasuresed by the receiver.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 20 years, but we've had to keep it secret because he's a priest. I want to marry him, but he's scared of "coming out" because he'll have to quit the priesthood. I'm thinking of giving him an ultimatum, either he comes out by my thirtieth birthday (next year) or I leave him. What is a good passage from the Bible that I can give him to help him realize that God just wants us to be happy and in love forever?

Come on, now think about it. People who deny their baser urges are not being true to themselves, so therefore that would make them hypocrites, right? And all people do that, whether or not they will admit it, for whatever reason. So it stands to reason that all people are hypocrites. Agree or disagree? Why?

Christian evangelicals: are you pro-Bush, or anti-Bush? Are you pro-Iraq war, or anti Iraq war? Are you pro-choice, or pro-life? Are you pro-guns, or anti-guns? Do you lean to the right, or to the left? Finally, what is your number one concern in or with the world today?

What do you think of this quote (taken from another Answers user)? If you're a believer, are you positive and happy in your life? If you're an atheist, are you miserable and hateful?

How can a homosexual possibly be a christian? It clearly states in the bible that it is wrong, and the reason the city of sodoma and gomora fell was because of the homosexuality. I'm interested to see as to how the homos interperet this differently. I'm a very curious straight christian with an open mind but i definately know that this is a sin and it is wrong.

I have met up with some christians in my bible study class and the only things they're worried about is stoping homosexuals from getting married, stoping lesbians from getting sperm donating to them, and at the same time they claim about spreading love to the entire nation. Yes the bible does say spread the word of god. Some people in this world do not beileve in god,so you can't force them too. God said your eaither with him or against him! You can't shove it down their throat, just spread the word of god to the people who are stuggling the ones who find it hard to pray in something they can't see. We can't just focus on 1 or 2 things in the bible,we have to get out their and focus on them all. Why can't we do that? Well the worlds not perfect.

I'm not just trying to attack mormons, I am reseaching Mormonism (a copy of the Book of Mormon is in the mail) and I would like to give Mormons a chance to answer my questions.

Thank you to all

Josh.

P.S. If you are familer with Mormonism you should probably just skip through the history.

Couldn't it be possible that the people you trust for your "proof" could be liars, just as you say the Bible's authors are? When there is a picture in your biology book of the tree moths adapting from white to dark brown (before and after "pollution") have you considered it could be lies? It could be a doctored picture....in fact, it was found to be!!! Yet, you believe it as proof of evolution? Many scientists have come out and admitted that they lied for fame/recognition or for money.

My question is I have this problem for 21 years of living and I'm trying to recieve the Holy Ghost and proclaimming Jesus Christ as my savior. I gave my life to Christ July of '03 but before that I was a sinner and sometimes like from the past unto now I feel this shake in my body and it's not the Holy Ghost. Because if it was the holy ghost, I would've been speaking in tongues, shouting, or dancing because after I got baptized, I done backslid into the world of sin. Everytime when I stand up , seat down, or do something . I feel a shake that's not the Holy Ghost, a shake that felt like somebody scared me and I'd jumped. Are those demons coming inside me or something? Please help me if you are a true real Christian that is saved and have the Holy Ghost. No hypocrite Christians!

Do you suggest me to include some teachings regarding our Lord Jesus to put in it?

previously i asked about the teachings of the catholic church and its views of Protestants and heaven. the answer i got was that Protestant do not walk in the fullness of Christ and therefore will not enter heaven(according to catholic teachings).

according to catholic teachings does the logic i put forth make sense.
you must be catholic to gain entry to heaven. excommunication was started by a pope. excommunication removes someone from the catholic church. . only god has the right to judge us.

therefore by removing a person from the catholic church we are condemning that person to hell, andare not bbeing "christlike"

therefore the pope is fallible and not infallible

Take a good look at a banana. A banana has groves on it that match up perfectly with the lines of our hand when we close it around the banana. It curves toward our mouth, and has a pull tab. It shows that this world is purposed. Evolution is so absurd. Why aren't monkey's turrning into humans now? Did evolution just stop at some point? Why are we not turnig into something else? We are here on purpose and we have a purpose. We are not here just to exist.

Why don't you look it up. While you're at it, look up
1) denomination, and two,
2) religion

All these terms don't mean the same thing.

Scientists may soon explain why some people are religious and why there’s so much trouble caused in the world by religion. Scientists have already shown that some people carry a "warrior" gene that makes them more prone to violence and criminal acts.

Some people are genetically predisposed to violence and criminal acts, and I suspect scientists have also found that some people are genetically predisposed to spiritual acts, but have yet to publish their findings to avoid a public uproar.

Scientists will probably find that people who are predisposed to the “spiritual” gene are probably more likely to also be predisposed to the “warrior” gene, which would ultimately cause these people to have religious conflicts like crusades and wars. It is already a well known fact that religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began.

There must be a rational explanation why religious people act in such an irrational manner.

I don't mean to be rude, I just don't know and I'm curious. Whenever I discuss religion with a Christian friend, they always say 'Well, Jesus died for our sins, so I'm saved'. If you are so called 'saved' then why bother being good. If Jesus died for you, then why not party all the time and not go to church, because no matter what, you'll get into heaven anyways?
