There are just as many black Jews as there are the semetics the european the russian the asian the arabian Jews
In Africa there are causian Jews ,real african Jews and there south african whites Jews
Black african Jews have existed as early as the time of Abraham
and many exists in Africa most in north, west central ,the horn of africa and east africa .Many tribes in africa have cultures and tradition which are derived from Jews traditon and culture which almost proves their ancient ancentral lineage to the eary Jew Africans internarriage example are some tribes in Nigeria , Ethiopia ,sudan Uganda ,Ruwanda Burundi, Egypt northern africans states
Some tribes which migrated from the northern african early kingdoms have the Jewish blood among their tribesmen and there cultures and traditon are totally same with the Jewish tradition though some tradition might differ but almost their ways of life is Jewish like the Luo of kenya uganda and tananzania
The tutsi of ruwanda and burundi ,the lemebe etc

Not only are there black jews, but there are also Japanese
Jews.

Why?

When Japan was defeated at the end of World War II, many
of the Japanese were, to say the least, disenchanted with
the emporer and his associated religion.

So, they switched.

They switched to many different religions, but many many
became jewish. Several of those ended up in New York
City - and there are bars in the lower part of town devoted
to Japanese Jews.

You can be a Christian, because Christianity is not an ethnicity it is only a religion. Any origin can be any religion. You can be a reformed Jew, however that does not make your ethnicity Jewish. If a person of black skin tone says they are Jewish, he or she is merely stating they believe in Jewish teachings and is NOT a true "Jew" by ethnicity.

A VERY BRIEF LESSON IN HISTORY::::::!!!!!

The Pharaoh in ancient Egypt maintained control over his slaves by keeping the population under control by killing the first born son and treating them very badly. Moses was one of these first born sons who happened to escape persecution and was raised as one of the Pharaoh's sons. Moses ran away from Egypt and became a Sheppard. One day one of his sheep ran away and he chased after it. While chasing after the sheep, he came across a burning bush where God spoke to Moses and told him to free God's people who happened to be the slaves of Egypt. After a long spiel Moses led the slaves, who are from this point on known as the Jewish people; to the Promise Land.

From this knowledge, we can derive or infer that the Jews were originally Egyptian slaves who were more of a mulatto color therefore there is no such thing as a black Jew through ethnicity.

Black Jews have always been with us. Moses wife Zipporah , father in law Jethro and loads of midianites which are in Ethiopia. That's where moses went when he crossed the desert from Egypt. The midianite tribe still practice Judaism to this day..

sure they are plenty some people from Ethiopia are jews and is from there that the religion was created long story remember jews crossed Egypt so they leave behim in Africa lot of jews are the real ones. I saw a couple of them with the kipa they look funny but they are jews.

Nell Carter from "Gimme a Break" fame had converted into Judaism before she died. Lenny Kravitz is half-Jewish. So is Lisa Bonet aka Denise from the Cosby Show.

There are black Jews that converted to Judaism.....I don't know of any that are racially Jewish... Oh wait, I do remember a story on the news that they had done DNA tests on some people in Africa --I forgot their name-- but they had the DNA link to Jews somehow.
