i've realized something: you don't have to be a submittive little wimp to be a good christian. you don't have to obey any other man. stop thinking that you have to bow down and worship every authority figuire in you life. only god. i've done this, and i'm a very happy person. who agrees? after all, god gave us free will.

Isnt there discrimination between those who died long before judgement day and those close to it because one spends more time in the wilderness than the other

If someone is suffering from the grip of gluttony, what would a good thing to do be? If food is an addiction for them, what could they do. any suggestions? yes, stop eatin so much, the obvious, but that is like telling a smoker just step smoking so much, but that would be even easier in the way that you have to eat, you cant just stop altogether, you need food to live, so how does one use moderation and work for good and not a fab diet. Gluttony is a sin, God answers prayers but then the devil steps in and ruins it. Some real answers please and it would be awesome if it were a christian giving the advice, a brother or sister in Christ giving loving advice and helpful advice would be awesome. God bless everybody. John 3:16

My friend died a few years ago. he was 18 years old when he died. his parents made him go to church almost every day and at first he didnt mind going, but as he got older they still made him go almost every day. he always said he hated going because his parents made him. he told them they are only making him never want to go to church. he then started talking about how when he dies hes going to have a desk job in hell. he said this earth is the best that there is. there is no heaven and hell is where we are going. i belive it's because his parents made him go to church every day. he was cathlic, and i am not. he was a strait a student and was the smartest guy I ever knew. he knew everything about anything. he died while he was at college.. he fell from a four story balcony and died instantly.. his funeral was a joke.. i don't know if all cathlic funerals are the same but it was like a freaking sunday church service. i think his parent forced him into hell. am i right?

The only people who have ever talked to me about their beliefs in person were Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons...and the person who shared the gospel with me until I understood...(took more than one time of hearing for it to click here! lol)
If they think I could even POSSIBLY be on my way to hell, why wouldn't you care enough to take 5 minutes of your day--of your life to share your religion with me??

I know some Christians who let thier kids Trick or Treat, and believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny, and some who don't. Is there actually anything in the bible that says not to?

For those that think it's ok, why?
For those who don't think it's ok, why not?

I'm puttng together a website on Urban Paganism, and while I have my own experiences and those of my friends to draw upon, I would like to hear more from other folks living the religions in an urban setting. Whether you are Wiccan and/or Eclectic, practice Asatru or Voudon, yearn for the country or channel Rat and the City Parents, I would like to hear your experiences.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Have you made anyones day brighter, or helped another with their burdens? Has anyone done this for you? Many answers and friends have made me smile so they definitely brightened my day. I try to be a positive influence on those I meet but I am not always sure of the impact I have if any.

On 30 days, they said a study showed that as far as Americans are concerned, atheists are least trusted after Muslims, recent immigrants and even homosexuals. Is that why so many atheists in this forum lash out at anyone who doesn't share their unbelief?

Now if you look at the answers on my last question to you atheists...you will see sarcasm, shabby razz ma tazz foot shuffling, silly responses, incoherrant answers, Emo backslidden christians, ..... I ask ...how can you be so void of reasoning when you claim to be masters of it ? It reminds me of a chick fight in high school....lots of name calling, swinging, hair pulling and pubesent boys cheering it on...what next ? Its so....soooooo....soooooooooo....... mind boggling ? is that the word ? I wonder ...is it just that you like the attention ? There are other attention getters you know ? And the " christians " that chime right in there with all that mess....are you guys sure youre christians ? BTW...No Emo christian responses requested plz...

You based your conclusion on reasoning and you claim that reasoning is based on logic. What is your so-called logic based on by which you deny Jesus? It's dependant on some axioms and hypothesis. You are actually blindly believing those hypothesis. But did you ever consider
those secular hypothesis? They can't be proved. For example:
hypothesis no-1:
A cannot be equal to B and not equal to B simultanously.
But this hypothesis is faulty bcoz--A just not only change in space
but in time also. So it can even not be identified with itself in changing space-time, but it might be B in some instant--if B is actually a space-time state of A. So, ur hypotheses are incomplete.
example of Biblical Hypothesis:
(1)True word of God. Proved by all it's miracles, winesses and predictions.(2) God can be in three states simultanously and it is proved.

When you're out of toilet paper which is the better choice? The New or Old Testament?

2006-08-09 16:21:25 · 31 answers · asked by Anonymous

I believe in a blend of science and theology. I like to think there is a place for logic within the Christian faith as well as room for the "grand scheme of things". Is it cool to consider myself Christian if I believe in God and the existance of Jesus as messiah, yet do not disregard a scientific approach as well. Why couldn't god be behind science? I feel conflicted a lot, but still have a general belief in Christianity. I want to think that there is more out there.
