Look at animals in the world. Every pack/herd's alpha thinks its the most powerful. Besides, there's a cultural aspect to this; a druid or native american wouldn't recieve their message from a man. People in cities wouldn't accept their message from a foreigner...only someone like them. Human conceit and politics won't allow them to concede that maybe they all share the same imaginary friend.

Not every religion believes there's a god. Bhuddhism is about worshiping your ancestors. Taoism is the idea that everything, rocks, dogs, and people everything has a spirit. There are other beliefs which center around there being many gods, or one god with many aspects. Even Atheism isn't a single thing. There's Skinnerism, Holmannism, Nilhilism.
Even if people were willing, there is no way all beliefs could be conglomerated into one, and no reason to anyway.

Humans have a long way to go before this can happen. We still live as people did 2000+ years ago, only our tools have changed.
It will take an intellectual shift of such a magnitude I can't see the people in power letting it happen. Basically one group will hold down anyone to maintain power to the detriment of all humans. (Of course I'm wrong - so don't get depressed.)
People actually are waiting for Jesus to do this, or the final battle between good and evil. People can't imagine that they have the power to accomplish this major change.
People as a race have low self esteem. Weird - we have done some amazing things!?

If you are around for the tribulation after the rapture, you will get exactly what you think you want. The anti-christ will bring a universal religion, worshipping him.. I am so thankful to God that I won't be here. It's scary to think that people are already wanting a universal religion.

Lol I have always seen it as people taking different paths to the same end. It is a matter of what you believe is true and what you have been told is true through revelation and prayer. Many churches accept stances similiar to mine being that other churches also bear some truth but there is usually a catch as to why they believe their way. If you truly want to find where you belong don't take it from what you are told about churches but rather learn about them all and then pray for guidance. Who better then the Lord to tell you what truth to believe?

Because religion is something made up, and there were many different versions because of the life styles and distance.
Most people take their religion literally and exacting, why we have suicidal bombers, wars, unyielding christians annoying everyone on the street.
Different people believe in different things, just how it works.

As soon as everyone else starts believing like me, there will be 1 universal belief. Who wants to volunteer first?

Sorry , but no! It's not Gods plan , the way is narrow and He chooses his people. Buddha was a man and his disciples know this . He climbed a mountain and got enlightened, Buddha means " the enlightened one.
Allah is the moon God, Not the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.

There should be. I dont care what people say. Wether u call him God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, etc. He is the same God. But u know u have those people who will argue with u and tell u their god is the only god. But all of our different named gods are the same higher power. Most of the religions are similar, we just have different ways of worshipping God, or Allah, or Buddha-put it like this, the higher power just has a lot of alias'.

Because religious people have a need to feel like they are a part of something unique and special and that not just anyone can be in that group. It is self delusion.
