Do people have problems worshipping someone that doesn't look like them? Most non-white christians worship a blue-eyed Jesus, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

And where did Mary Magdeline get blonde hair in the middle east? Was it all the Roman influence? I am so confused.

(intelligent answers only please, no ranting athiests... I too am athiest but this question has always bewildered me)

John 3:
19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

I and many others think that the Christians on Yahoo! Answers need to realize this.

Did you know there are a myriad of methods and ways to be spiritual? There is, that is a fact...

Now go and sin against your fellow man no more!

Does it make you feel sick and remind of bad memories, or does it make you feel good and remind you of good memories?

I'm an agnostic trying to build a database of questions and answers not trying to convert anyone, just a question for you to answer please.

The 10 commandments have 4 commandments that are specific to a religion, the judeo-christian religion. Its based on an old hebrew document called Exodus. Something that is specific to that religion is You shall have other gods besides me. This is clearly a monotheistic view.

Why are Christians not interested in pursueing what Jesus said and getting that hung on the walls, he listed the last six secular commandments in Matthew 19:18 Jesus said, “ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’(NKJV)

The question I am asking is: Is it really about the 10 commandments and God and morality; or is it about a judge's political career and he thinks this issue will get him votes?

Affinity with the Christian right has led to banning stem cell research and turning a blind eye to civilian deaths in Lebanon.

Do you agree with this British assessment:

Please no pre decided answers, just if you visit the link post your answer and explain it. If you think it is not, then what sort of evidence is needed for your satisfaction?

Do you think those scientists are confused and not reliable or they are right but the whole thing is just happened by blind chance?
Do you need further search and study to decide?

We had our daughter christened at 2 months and now think that may have been too young only because she was around so many new people and her immune system wasn't 100% yet. She ended up getting bronchiolitis from someone who had a cold. We are pregnant again, due in January 2007 and are trying to decide when to have the christening. Most of our relatives live in NY and we are in SC so we want to give them lots of notice in order to make travel arrangements. If we waited until summer (the baby would be 6-7 months) would that make sense? Many of our relatives are teachers and that would allow them to come without taking time off which I know is very difficult for teachers. Plus the baby will have a good 6 months of nursing so should be able to handle the company!

Thanks!

I am convinced that God requires servitude, not because He needs it but because it is the best mind set. Do you think the world would have the same problems if we truly served each other from the King to the Pauper, Unconditional servitude?

Would you believe in the fake Jesus that will sit in Jerusalem, when you're still in the flesh, waiting for the rapture?
For, the fake Jesus, the false prophet, the devil, will be looking like Jesus. Pretending to be Jesus, but his voice will be of the dragon, the devil.
Rev 13:4” And they worshipped the dragon…”
Rev 13:11 "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." Horns represent power; power like Jesus but speaking like the dragon, the devil.
When this happens, remember that the devil comes before the true Jesus.
Please, give mature answers only. If you can't answer maturely than please don't answer. Thank you.

Perhaps two biblical judgments to compare,
in John 7:24's "Judge not".......... "but judge":
Law Law: sinners all, thereby all die: extinction.
Grace: sinners none, thereby all live: salvation.

"We all are one". But we all are not "one proselyte".
Rather "we are delivered from the law"(sin & death).
We thus judge if one died for all, then were all dead.
