Ive heard that people can practice and belive in any form they choose but, how can anybody say that when critizicing someone elses beliefs. To the point of asuming that the only path to god is their way of worship. Is that fair ? What if everybody is wrong? What if we are segregating the world because we all want to be right. Is there hope of comming to terms to our spirituality without taking away the freedom of worship?

Why or why not? I personally find it hard to beleive what the bible has to say. Not becasue of disbeleif in god, but purley on the fact that the bible was written years later after the death of christ.

I was brought up to be loosely church of england, but since teenage have become opposed to organised religion of any form.
I believe that the various 'churches' have proven useful in the past by imposing some fundamental 'rules' to follow in life with the threat of being punished / rewarded accordingly in the 'afterlife' But in these modern times, when people are educated enough to know the difference between right and wrong, and we are all punishable by law (or at least supposed to be), is it not the case that your 'god' will contact you directly if 'he' wishes and that the leader of your church wishes only to exert their influence and increase their 'hold' over the congregation.

So many people have gone(and still are going) to war because of religion. Were these wars not religious leaders struggles for power propelled by their followers 'faith'.
In a nutshell, 'god' is everywhere, why should you go to a 'church' and talk/pray to 'him' via them rather than directly yourself?

I don't know who sings it. I only know what that topic is. Its about how Jesus was a carpenters son and when he was working, nailing in the nails, he knew that one day He also would be nailed into wood. I really love this song if anyone could help that would be GREAT

Ok If I understand Christian Theology then Jesus was destined to die on the Cross to "save" everyone. Then on the other hand "blame" is assigned for this action. Now the Romans were clearly exonerated of this deed and the Jews are held responsible (according to the NT).

To make a long question as short as possible instead of calling me Christ Killer shouldn't you be thanking me?

When will the lunatic creationist fringe give up?
Creationists are setting up camps everywhere, dispensing their words of biblical wisdom on evolutionary matters, whilst the world warms, pretty much due to humanities dislocation with its ecological roots.

"Intelligent design theory" needs to be consigned to the recycle bin, and emptied fast...the beauty of evolution has had billions of years for life to create it's diversity..and we don't need creationist reason to dictate it's origins, any more than humanist.

Natural processes beyond our current understanding created life; time and consequences created the divesity..we don't need obsessive, dogmatic and mis-educated people to tell our children otherwise..we should be teaching them how to sort out the mess we are about to unleash on our atmosphere, direct them away from religious diktat, and toward a sense of evolutionary and ecological understanding. There's only one issue common to humanity...being able to breath our atmosph

Most people have fallen for the big lie that God loves everybody in the world without exception. You must think I'm crazy at this point if you have been taught that He loves everybody. Before you think that, listen to what God says in His word about His love and forget what every false teacher ever told you.

In Psalm 5:5 it says: "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity". Notice it did NOT say He hated only the sin and not the sinner, like most preachers would have us believe."

In Malachi 1:2-3 says: "I loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esua Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob and I hated Esua...." This same Old Testament text is referred to in the New Testament in Romans 9:13. Really to get the whole picture I recommend starting at least in Romans 9:11-24.

This question is for Christians. If you are a non-Christian feel free to add to the conversation in an intelligent manner otherwise feel free to post elsewhere.

Gal 5:19-23 reads:
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

I have known many non-Christians that strongly display the fruits of the Spirit and not the deeds of the flesh. Moreover the manifestation of these virtues seems to be imbedded in the person’s spirituality.

What would be the source of these fruits in the life of a non-Christian?

The Christian thing to do is to love our enemies. Perhaps the devil is just starved for affection and love.
