quint,
On this point I'll disagree with you.
Destiny doesn't entitle others to carry it out. (e.g. the egyptians and us).

No honest Christian blames Jews for Jesus' death on the cross. Had any of us been there, we would have fallen into one of the groups of the time: religious mainstream who thought they had all the answers right and yet were blind to the truth right before their eyes, the political secularists who just wanted to dissipate the problems and maintain their power, or the believers who when the going got tough, showed their spiritual frailty by leaving Jesus all alone in His suffering. In the end, the truth is that we all are fallen people- then and now. It is only because of His loving sacrifice that we can come to God and be transformed into His image if we believe and trust Him with our lives.
Let's stop trying to pit one religious group against another. In the end there will be exactly two groups and no more: those who have chosen to be a part of God's Kingdom as He has made provision for, and those who have said "no thanks".
Peace and grace to you and all glory to the one, true, living God.

First of all, I've never called a Jew a Christ killer. And you did infer that your statement "and the Jews are held responsible" is actually found in the Bible.
Could you provide that reference, because I don't remember ever reading that. Ever.
I've never read in the Bible that anyone was "blamed" for the death of Jesus on the cross. He died for our sins. Yes, that's true. Our sin is to blame, not a particular section of people.

When the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob required an offering in the OT, what do you think that represented? I have a feeling that you don't know your own ancestry. The Church of Jesus Christ knows that His Kingdom here on Earth will be ran by the Jews. We don't blame you for anything.

I am very grateful that Jesus died on a cross as was planned before the foundation of this world. In the Bible Paul says that the Jews didn't recognize Jesus for who He was and so they had the Romans kill him as was foretold in the Scriptures.
Only ignorant haters who are just looking for an excuse to persecute people under the guise of the name of G-d hold anything against the Jewish people through whom our salvation was destined to come.

The way I see it, because an ancestor sought knowledge the entire human race is EVIL, EVIL, EVIL just for being born. Jesus knew he was going to die and how. He set Judas up, and pushed the Jewish leaders until they fell into line so that he could be the human sacrifice it would take to beg God's forgiveness for mankind's continuance. Since God made man in the first place, and made sure that man would continue through pro-creation, the blame for the WHOLE fiasco fits squarely on God's shoulders (if you are going to be miffed for centuries because your pet learned something on its own, it does not do to blame later generations, either that or inhibit breeding).

It does not appear that the Romans were "clearly exonerated " of this deed by God simply because Pilate washed his hands. God can, and probably did, hold Pilate and the Romans responsible.
But to answer your question, everyone who has sinned (and the Bible says that anyone who claims to be without sin is deceiving himself) has crucified Jesus, because it is for the forgiveness of sins that he died.
Should we be thanking Satan for killing Jesus (after all, he was the mastermind behind the whole plot)? No, Satan had a bad motive for wanting Jesus to be killed. God on the other hand, allowed Jesus to die for a very good reason. So we thank God for his good motives, and curse the Devil for his bad motives, even though they both, in effect, did the same thing (Both God and the Devil killed Jesus).
People raise the point all the time that God must be responsible for creating evil because God allowed free will to exist -- knowing full well that free will would be abused to create evil. However, God has good motives for allowing evil to exist, so he is innocent because of his motives. Satan has selfish reasons for wanting evil to exist, so he is condemned for creating evil because of his bad motives.

In John 10:17-18 Jesus said I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.
I am as responsible as you for the death of Christ, because of my sin.

We are all responsible for Jesus coming to earth to die on the cross. Why? Because of sin. Not just the Jewish, not just the Romans, but ALL of us.
