for all my fellow christians: gimme some passage in the bible that says we r supposed to support israel in absolutely everything they do no matter wut crap they do. and dont just tell me theyre Gods chosen people or use the "pray for the peace of jerusalem" verse. they DONT COUNT, no matter how much u want them to. God turned away from israel and let them be destroyed after they continually dropped the ball. so y do we have to stand by them no matter how many people they persecute and kill?

Is your denial/disbelief in the Divine based on a mistrust of religion or a desire for proof of the Divine?

when Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the light," what did he really mean? what conjugation of the verb did he use and what setting was it in?
the statement seems to go against the rest of his teachings and alot of the original christians considering he wasn't even considered the son of god officially untill over 100 years after he died? any bible scholars out there?

Joseph Smith claimed to be a "translator" by the power of God. In addition to the Book of Mormon, he made several other "translations":
The Book of Abraham, from Egyptian papyrus scrolls which came into his possession in 1835. He stated that the scrolls were written by the biblical Abraham "by his own hand." Smith's translation is now accepted as scripture by the LDS church, as part of its "Pearl of Great Price."

Smith also produced an "Egyptian Grammar" based on his translation. Modern scholars of ancient Egyptian agree that the scrolls are common Egyptian funeral scrolls, entirely pagan in nature, having nothing to do with Abraham, and from a period 2000 years later than Abraham. The "Grammar" has been said by Egyptologists to prove that Smith had no notion of the Egyptian language. It is pure fantasy: he made it up.

My question is...does the LDS teach Fantasy in its Temples as a course?

Or Mary...

Yeah, that rock or cornflake or piece of fabric or not in a tree may look like it has blotches that looks like it could be a face. Sure, I see how you can see that. But what makes it Jesus or Mary?

If there was a God...I said If, no even though you don't believe in one.... You still respond to this question. How should God reveal himself to mankind? Should he come down to Earth and tell them I'm God. Or should he reveal himself in nature, or give us some sign.. Just curious what you think...

According to Genghis Khan: "The greatest pleasure of a man is to vanquish your enemies and chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth and see those dear to them bathed in tears, to ride their horses and clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters."

What is best in this world in your opinion?

For your elucidation, the word Empirical is defined as;
em·pir·i·cal (m-pr-kl)
adj.

1. Relying on or derived from observation or experiment.
2. Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment.
3. Of or being a philosophy of medicine emphasizing practical experience and observation over scientific theory.

So, no examples that aren't backed up with observation or experiments ok?
Personal experience does not count either.
You see, my theory is that "sin" as defined by christians, is subjective, not objective. Just like morality. One cannot have objective morality anymore than one can have an objective opinion.
But I'm willing to read what you have to say.

Since God gave humans free will to sin, and humans by nature are sinners, it should be clear to god that we all will sin. Its like some twisted power trip making us appologize and kowtow to him for something he knows we cant help doing!

Like he strands us on a desert island with a glass of water and a sandwich and says you can eat and drink these, but its a sin. So if you eat and drink so to stay alive, you are a sinner and must beg me to forgive you. He gives us something he KNOWS we'll do, calls it bad anyway, then makes us choose whether or not we should beg him to let us off the hook. Wierd.

I don't appreciate christians, catholics or jehova's witness saying nasty things to me because i'm a lesbian. First of all if you're religion does not accept it, then keep it amongst your own kind and don't spread it to those who don't belive.
