First of all we don't care if you want to believe in Christianity or anything else.

The problem and thus the big deal is that the Christians are abusing their majority position and are getting laws passed that violate the constitutional religious rights of other people.

As a Christian, we are saved from hell. So when we see someone who isn't a Christian, because of what the Bible says, we have to assume they are not saved. Jesus says "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by Me" We know that there is no other way to heaven except through Jesus. So if we know about the reality of hell, and that God will one day Judge the world in rightousness, and that anyone who thinks they will go to heaven based on good works is lost, we have to get out and tell people. For a Christian not to warn the world about impending Judgment would be like a fireman watching as people burned in a building and he did nothing to help.

People care because people like to argue and make fun of other people. But I'll tell ya, if you and your husband have different beliefs then that could be a bad thing later. I mean if it comes up it could start conversation that leads to arguments.

Anyway, What you believe doesn't change the truth. You can believe in fairies and it won't mean they exist!! What you gotta think about is....When it is my time to die, will I be ready for the possiblity that I could be wrong?
Suppose there really is a hell.....even if you don't believe in it....that doesn't mean that you won't burn there. Just something to consider.

First, you must stop worrying over "religion." Religion doesn't mean anything when it comes down to the choice you, personally, must make in your own life. Your decision has nothing to do with husbands or wives or mothers or fathers. The only way you can receive Gods forgiveness and receive everlasting life is to give your life over to Jesus and maintain a daily communion with Jesus. Jesus knnows no religion and doesn't care whether you're Catholic, Baptist or and Atheist - He takes all who call His name. Stand for Jesus and opposition will come at you all your days here on Earth, but, as Jesus so pointedly points out - who in the world is greater than He who is in you? You must decide "who" is in you. Seek and you shall find.

I don't understand why people fight so much about religion. I'm not a religious person, but if I were to pick one, I'd go with budism. One of the ideas about religion is supposed to be about love. How can you fight if someone has a different religion than you? It makes no sense.
I guess that some people in the world take their religion a little too seriously.

The only people that make a big deal out of it are the religous. We atheist could care less who believes in what. It's actually comical to hear people's stories about some ancient benevolent creator and why they choose to believe that crap.

It DOES matter in the end. But people expect others to convert to their beliefs. I believe what most Christians believe, but I refuse to call myself a christian if I am to be considered a stuck up, biblehugging annoying converter.

Have a great day,
Dani

Sadly a lot of people do judge others by what they believe and never take the time to get to know someone. If someone asks me what I believe I usually ask them why it matters.
