Because neither is true. Jesus never married and Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant with Jesus.

So what if Jesus was married to a prostitute? Would it make him a pimp? Would it make the Christian Church look good? So what if the above is bullocks but Jesus was married nonetheless, wouldn't all those who advocate strict celebacy be living a made up reality that has as much to do with Christianity - were Christ married - as bhurkas with Islam?

Basically we don't know if there were any such records. That doesn't make them "was not"! Though if they would be found it would be highly inconvenient for Christians. At the same time rumor goes around that the Royal Houses of Europe are descendants of Jesus Christ. Maybe it was just their immaculate preconception. Who can tell?

I only know that truth and reality are two different things. The fact that there are no records of things doesn't mean that those things didn't happen. The fact that things happen doesn't mean that they will be recorded for all to know! But common sense can be a nice lead.

First off, its probably because Jesus wasn't married, and secondly, it was Mary Magdalene that a pope started teaching was a prostitute, not Mary, the mother of Jesus. The bible made it very clear that His mother was a virgin. It is suspected that the pope started this rumor to discredit Mary Magdalene, since she was pretty darn close to a diciple, and no male chavaunist pope of that time would want a woman called a diciple. There is a prostitute in the bible, so this pope just started teaching that it was Mary Magdalene, and of course, it wasn't her. The catholic church had already decided that woman were sinful, and we were to be kept that way. Can you just imagine how it would have been in that time for it to come out that a woman had actually had a large part in spreading christianity?

There is also no proof of alien visits.

No proof of WMD in Iraq, but that didn't stop us from invading nor did we pull out afterwards. We went there for WMD and NOTHING ELSE, how come we ain't back yet!

There is no proof that Evolution is real or the way we were formed.

There is no proof the steady state theory nor the big bang theory

There is no proof that cell phones cause brain damage.

There is no proof that every cigarette smoker WILL GET LUNG CANCER

Someday maybe some of these things will get proven or we will find more links or evidence. Today we have only conjecture.
