I don't appreciate christians, catholics or jehova's witness saying nasty things to me because i'm a lesbian. First of all if you're religion does not accept it, then keep it amongst your own kind and don't spread it to those who don't belive.

Yet another Christian here saying "why do people put all Christians into one group and assume we all react the same way all the time?"

I have nothing against anyone. Gay, straight, theif, liar, etc. What I don't like is the sin. You may not believe that homosexuality is a sin, but the Bible says it is. If you don't believe that, ok. It doesn't make me dislike you that we disagree. People throughout time have disagreed on many issues. Who cares? Is it really that life or death that everyone say it's ok? I have nothing against you, if you choose to dislike me because of this, then I am truly sorry, but I won't change either, just like you won't change based on what I believe.

I myself have not lived a perfect life. So who am I (or anyone else) to try and condem other people? It is not my job and the Bible tells us not to judge others. I can tell you what the Bible says is sin (that is not judging the person, but the act). But it is not my place to tell you where your (or anyone else's) heart is. The only difference between me and someone doing wrong (no matter what the wrong) is that I have turned my life over to Christ and am doing my best to do the right thing (am I always successful? No- and anyone that tries to tell you they are is a liar).

Some people like to try and say that the Bible doesn't say that homosexuality is a sin. But it does, plain and simple:

Leviticus 18:22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Romans 1:24-28 " Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done."
1 Corinthians 6:9-19 " Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (this verse talks about those who have commited any of these sins and not been repentant of their acts)
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire." (Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God because they were cities filled with all kinds of perversion, the Bible lists homosexuality as one of the things the cities were destroyed for -this story is found in Genesis 19:1-25.)

Homosexual behavior is always discussed in the Bible as sin. Historical Christian interpretation has consistently viewed homosexual behavior as sinful. The modern word sodomy even comes from the biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah.
There are those who take some of the passages of Scripture above and attempt to show that they do not really mean to condemn homosexuality. But these arguments fall short, and upon investigation become an obvious ploy to distort the plain meaning of Scripture. As applies to other doctrines of the Bible, one must avoid trying to interpret Scripture in light of one's proclivities, and instead, interpret one's proclivities in light of Scripture. The Bible is the grid. It is wrong to overlay your own grid on the Bible.

Strike a match in the barn why don't cha!!!

I think it is really unfortunate that some religious people forget the simple message of love one another. I am a big time Christian, I love everyone in spite of my personal beliefs. I do believe the homosexuality is outside of God's will. I do not believe we were created to be this way. That being said, I love you anyway as person, and would want nothing but the best for you. How could I sit here and say anything bad about your life when their are oodles of things in my that outside of God's will too. Far to much do Christians and other religious folks proclaim their views and condemn others without examining their own lives or considering someone else's feelings. I am sorry that you have experienced the ugly side of Christianity, I promise that the religious"right" in this country has a awful history of placing their foot in their mouths over and over again. I will say this though, I wish that both sides would come to some sort of peace. I don't believe a persons sexuality needs to be public whether Gay or Straight. I think the "Gay Agenda" has angered many people because they are often times forcing people to compromise their personal convictions. This is not right either. I think both sides just need to mind their own business when it comes to this and only address issues as they come up.

This so-called "question" is nothing but more anti-Witness lying slander.

Jehovah's Witnesses do *NOT* say nasty things to anyone for any reason, including lesbianism. In fact, there are a number of Jehovah's Witnesses who themselves struggle with homosexual tendencies.

Atheists and others simply insist on inventing and spreading their anti-Witness propaganda. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

First of all I think you are feeling a little guilty. I don't hate gay people. I just think they are sinning and believe a lie that says it's okay. We all sin. Anyone who says they don't is a liar, and that's a sin. The Bible in Lev. 18 and 1 Cor 6:9 says it is an abomination. In 1 Cor 6:9-11 Paul was describing characteristics of unbelievers. Christians may still struggle with evil desires, but they should not continue in these practices. Paul clearly states that even those who sin in these ways can have their lives changed by Christ. However, those who say they are Christians but persist in these practices with no remorse "shall not inherit the kingdom of God". All of us need to examine our lives.

I do not dislike homosexuals. I may not agree with their lifestyle but I do not feel the need to point that out to everyone I meet. I recently found out an old friend from high school is a lesbian and I informed her that this does not change who she is. I am not judge and jury and I am Catholic.

I'm Christian, I can care less what you are. My boss is Atheisits and he hates gays...Religon plays a role in it, but not everyone is the same.

People that care about others lifes, like Atheisist bashing and telling me that God doesnt exsist, if a sad, usaly when people make fun of gays or think its wrong, most of the time they have their own problems and they tend to take it out on the weaker crowd, that being less populated or someone who wont say anything back

First of all, it's not a matter of "disliking." Not wanting to sound like a bad joke, but some of my best friends are homosexual :)

Just because I like the person, it doesn't mean that the behavior is acceptable to God (Romans 1:26-27). The loving thing to do is to tell people if they are in danger, isn't it?

I dislike ANYONE AND EVERYONE that forces me to respect them. Respect is earned, not demanded!

What amazes me is why any homo or lezbo believes in a God that condemns them to hell for their lifestyle.

Keep it amoungst our own kind? Are you kidding? Your "kind" are the demanding ones. What if every two people of the same sex living together (as friends, non sexual) said they were gay just to take advantage of the others health care or retirement or corporate favors?

I don't go walking around advertising "Hey, I only have sex with women" and I don't think your "kind" should do it either... let alone be proud of it!

I'm a Christian, and God has made it very clear that He loves us all, regardless of who we are or what we say/do. That means God loves you too. While it is true that the Bible declares homosexuality as a sin, the Bible also says dishonesty is a sin. The Bible also says any sin separates us from God, but the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ is available to every sinner. So welcome to the Sinners Club! Remember that God still loves you!
