I think 2Timothy 15-26 verse should be read as a whole. God wants us to rightly divide his word, you can't rightly divide it if you don't read it. Also the Lord knows his own. Also of course God foundation is sure, can no foundation be layed than that was layed which is Jesus Christ. When you become a Christian you should not touch, taste, handle, any unclean thing cause you will perish with the using. The word say that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall depart from Evil. We are to be holy as he is holy. holiness which without no man shall see the Lord. God is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle or any such blemish. Some people were made to go through the fire and their works be burnt up and some were made to be great jewels of the faith.
The bible says that we should flee youthful lust which is anything having to do with sinful pleasures such as orgies, threesomes, anything that is fleshly and sinful without the body. We are to walk in the fruits of the spirit. we are to walk in the spirit of God and we will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. If you listen and obey the Lord you won't have to worry about sinning because he will have your mind. He will have your attention. That's why everyone who calleth himself a christian must turn from iniquity the things the God warns us about those who are doing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. So we have to make sure that our house is in order. That is what this passage means to me Holiness. God calls us into separation and Holiness. We can't be like the world and serve God at the same time. We either love the one or hate the other or cleave to the one or despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. You can't serve God and the Devil at the same time. We are going to be judged according to our works.
Well, May God bless you and continue to search the scriptures, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.

This shows that when God institutes his searching judgments it makes manifest where each individual stands. In fact, the circumstance that caused the apostle to make that comment arose out of his mentioning two men by name who had “deviated from the truth,” and who had to be exposed for what they really were. (2 Tim. 2:16-18 ) And Perhaps you wonder how the two quotations at 2 Timothy 2:19 serve as a “seal” to the “solid foundation of God.” The fact is, no one can deceive God, though they may deceive others, or even themselves.
Once having received and enjoyed peace from God, we must exercise care that we retain it. Many factors can rob Christians of peace. Among the most common, and certainly most dangerous, are youthful desires. In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, who at that time was likely in his early 30’s, he included this counsel: “Flee from the desires incidental to youth, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call upon the Lord out of a clean heart.”—2 Timothy 2:22.

19Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his,"[a] and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."
22Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Well, my question would be the same as Paul's in 2 Corinthians 16:
". . .And who is qualified (fit and sufficient) for these things? [Who is able for such a ministry? We?]" (Amplified Bible)
Paul asks a rhetorical question because the honest answer is - no one.
However, Paul does have a solution to that problem:
"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." (2 Corinthians 2:14)
This is the New Covenant - that we are not able to meet even the smallest of Gods requirements, but Jesus is our sufficiency. By accepting the free gift of life in Jesus we satisfy all of God's requirements.

you should really start reading from verse 15 by the time you get to 19 it should be clearer..19 is just saying Gods way is sure and absolute God knows who will chose him and to us who say we know him should depart from iniquity..the parallel of the houses built are that of people who are gold and silver...vessels fit to be used of God and vessels that are wood and of earth..and they are vessels of dishonor...so you should also read to the end of the chapter because it is saying to purge yourself from wordliness so you can be a vessel of honor and..flee youthful lusts ..also to avoid foolish and unlearned questions because all they do is cause confusion,..their purpose is to keep confusion going rather than bring clarity and understanding..keep reading and the rest is clear..God bless

Those who confess the Lord must do their best to avoid adopting the worldly behaviors they will come into contact with. The Lord desires intimate contact with his believers, and we should not bring impurity into that relationship.

It's telling us that we should depart from iniquity and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Here's the kicker.............avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.

nicely, God is an element of the word, suitable? interior the 1st financial disaster of John, it says so..alongside the strains, besides. i think of that this verse is saying the bible is functional for being a easy to stick to Christ - to examine approximately Him greater, and love Him greater. The bible is a handbook - something to stick to, something written in stone to coach us who God is. despite the fact that, it is likewise as much as us to confirm who God rather is. i'm from the Reformed custom, and our theology rather believes in sola scriptura - as interior the bible being the appropriate word of god - the two metaphorically or actually. despite the fact that, I trust you in that this scripture is somewhat misinterpreted to declare the Bible is inerrant. even with each and everything, what does inerrant propose besides?
