Ok, everyone accepts that a woman's head should be covered, but then some women turn around and say that hair is the cover it talks of.

Well, how can they be right when it says: 'If a woman does not cover her head: she should have her hair cut off'? 1st Corr; 11.6. How can she have her hair cut off if she's bald? Anyway, the two words are different in ancient Greek.

You're all full of it when you say 'Jesus never sinned'.
You christians claim that he was human and then in the same breath say he was perfect.
You can't have it both ways.
Humans are not perfect and they make mistakes. So he was either human or he wasn't. There's no 'he was both'. That is illogical.
Not to mention you all like saying things (when not talking about this particular subject noticeably) that ALL HUMANS ARE SINNERS and there's no avoiding it.

Supernatural creature that shouldn't have had any of the problems that humans had like oh, I don't know DYING ?

or

Human who sinned?

It's one of the other. Take you pick.

A great deal of juvenile, nonsensical and vulgar language and content appears on this site in both the questions and answers. What can or should be done about this? Where may those looking for serious exchange of views go to avoid this or is the entire Internet simply vulnerable to this type of participation?

4444 times. Becoz "God" appears 4444 times in The Holy Bible.
I challenge you. You dare accept my chalenge. If you can't do that why don't you accept the truth?? Are you still blind, deaf and dumb--when you see the crystal clear truth of God's Holy Word.
I am fed up with you.I challenge you.

The news is full of stories regarding child sexual abuse and paedophilia, especially by people in responsible positions like school teachers, scout masters, religious leaders and so on.

Which type of child sexual abuse do you consider to be the worst?

In my view, all child abusers are evil, but by far the worst is child sexual abuse by a religious leader like a priest, vicar, or preacher, because religious people tend to have unfaltering blind faith in God, and God’s representatives.

Religious people only seem to see total goodness in their God and the Bible, and those leaders who promote such work, and so any abuse by people in religious positions should be recognised as one of the most horrific, if not the most horrific, crimes against humanity.

Excellent!..now the real question.
Why do people believe in the bible/koran written 2,000 years ago by schizophrenic drug addicts, but don't believe in bus timetables, written 2 months ago by schizophrenic drug addicts?
Surely it's all a pack of lies?
God has not been to this place for 2,000 years according to the bible/koran.
The number 73 to Tescos has not been to this place for three weeks.

My point is....,when is the second coming(ooer) and where's the ferkin bus Jesus?

If so, what other denom was it, and what were you so displeased with it about that you would convert? What made you choose Catholicism instead of something else? Are you glad you converted? Do they provide more spiritual growth than other churches?

Someone needs to tell the poor dears that God is not a rock.

I think they have a right to know after 1400 hundred years of believing it.

I have a friend who is a very strict christian. We aren't good friends, but we're friends none the less. She says she doesn't consider me christian because I don't go to church (anymore) and because I believe in reincarnation. Does she really have the right to say I'm not christian just because some of my ideology differs from the religion?

P.S: If you knoe your going to go crazy on me please make it constructive. Thank You.

We hear so much these days of religious leaders or preachers (vicars, priests etc) molesting children, especially innocent young boys, one wonders how much is still swept under the carpet to keep up the illusion “God is good” or “the Bible is the truth” or you name it.

The truth is, there are far too many child abusers in privileged religious positions, whether it’s sexual or physical abuse. I wonder how many children (or adults for that matter) are just too scared to come forward and speak out due to the emotional damage and brainwashing they have been subjected to.

Have any of your children been sexually abused by any of these religious predators. Would you really know if it happened, or would your child be forced to carry a dark traumatic secret around forever in their life. How can you be sure?

Huguenots were French protestants of the 16th century (the first.) We were not well liked and were persecuted for our religious beliefs. Being burned alive did not sit well with us so we fled to various parts of the world. Does the Huguenot spirit live on in you? Are you out there?

Like the originals I am still much inclined to follow my own way.

when muslims fell down on their faces while praying, that's how you should pray to God. as Abraham the father of all the prophets, he did the same thing.

Genesis
17:3 And Abraham fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

why don't you pray like Abraham?

Listen up all you christians I need your help! I recently got involved in church I've been reading the bible and trying to make friends with other christians. But no matter what I do I feel disconnected like something is truly missing. I hear everyone talking about prayer but I just can't seem to pray. Everytime I sit down to pray there's nothing. It's so new to me I don't know where to begin. I don't even know who to pray to, do I pray to God or Jesus? What do I talk about in prayer? Do I confess my sins in prayer?
