In the New Testament Jesus says this all the time.
"I tell you the truth, I tell you the truth, really I do, you have to believe me."
I've always noticed that people who claim to be telling the truth all the time are usually the biggest liars.
Just like when someone says, "I'll be the best friend you ever had." It's pretty much guaranteed they are going to turn against you within a couple of months.
I've also heard people say "I am so NICE." Usually the most awful, fake people you could ever encounter.
So I wouldn't trust anyone who says, "I tell you the truth" all the time. That's the same technique that Snake Oil Salesmen used to use.

I mean i've seen alot of people who believes in different relegion and hates(or break the friendship)with other people just because they have different relegion.Thats stupidity i mean i'm muslim and i know that alot of people these days hates muslims(after 9/11)because of the terrorism issues. But that dosen't mean that i don't have a lot of friends who aren't muslims but treats me in a good way as if i was his/her brother....lets overcome this problem.and its mentioned in the holy koran that muslim people are way better than any other relegions....same thing with the christianity...budda...etc.But that dosen't mean that suppose if a doctor heals u 4rom a wound at the hospital and he is jewish..and u are christian...aren't u going to thank him or spit at his face(because he is jewsh).Lets think 'bout it....by common sense if we lived like that then there would be continuosly...race and relegion wars....and this will happen one day which is known as "Armeggadon".........

Peace...!

do they go to heaven or hell?

An obvious answer, posing a threat to what was considered divine truth. It did have reason behind it. The sun from Earth looks small, and appears to circle us every day. Now he could come up with all the evidence he wanted but a true man of faith holds firmly that the word of God is truth, plus it was seemingly obviously contrary to popular knowledge, so he went to jail. Now nearly 500 years later anyone who agrees with the church from that time is obviously wrong no matter what looks true and is either ill informed or a stubbornly ignorant person. Religion was obviously a knowledge suppressor at this point and bigotted peoples views so they couldn't even consider hard evidence. Does this sound similar to a current arguemeant about creation and the origin of species (hint)? Doesn't it seem just a matter of time until another outdated theory is shot down no matter how much false reason it has? If you disagree still then I just ask you to keep an open mind, I don't want to convert you.

Yes, I asked the question. If the flood did destroy everyone on the face of the earth (other than Noah and his family), the only possible way to explain the differences in color/physical features is evolution isn't it?

Like, it states they should cover their head; so why don't they do it?

It says: 'every woman who prays or prophesises with her head uncovered dishonours her head'? Do women just read the bits that say men must submit?

What is the criteria that we must use in knowing when it is acceptable to throw out the label hypocrite in our conversation with someone whose world view is different from ours.

We see in the New Testement that Jesus used this word often. So if you believe in the Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, what was Jesus's criteria.

You guys are in for a rude awakening if you discover God has a sense of humor.

Anyway, if you have a strong faith in God, you wouldn't get mad if someone questions your religion

Many parents don’t allow their kids to watch various TV programmes or movie films, or read certain books, because they contain too much hatred, violence, killing, and murders which may cause negative thoughts and behaviour in their children.

However these same parents allow their kids to read the Bible, yet the Bible contains some of the worst hatred, violence, killing, and murders ever witnessed in Humanity. Certainly the Bible also contains some nice parts as do many of these other books, TV and films.

Why the hypocrisy when it comes to the Bible? In a child’s mind, hatred, violence, killing, and murders are all troublesome, yet the Bible is by far the worst offending material ever written.

Now, a good number of people were saying that God is merciful, and as long as you were sincere before you died, you would be saved.

God likes sincerity.

Now, keeping this in mind, how on earth is Pascal's wager acceptable?
