If you are questioning whether or not someting is an attack, I think intent must be considered.
If a car hits you by accident, that would be unfortunate, but not really an attack. If the car tries to run you over intentionally, that is obviously an attack.
If your question is whether quoting the bible out of context in certain instances could be as harmful as a blatant attack against the religion, I would say yes.

Taking Bible verse out of context is not helpful. One should use verses in the Bible in context. There are plenty of issues and situations the Bible addresses. There is no need to take it out of context. Most that do take it out of context do so for dishonest gain, manipulation, etc. etc.

No it isn't helpful, the bible is the key to it's own understanding. Only by studying scriptures in context can you get their true understanding.

If someone is asking a Biblical question, they should get a Biblical answer. Who cares what I think? They should get sound proof from the Bible.

Gods word from the bible should speak for itself -
When man (woman) interject their beliefs, that's where the trouble starts

IT depends on how its used. There are religious groups that will try to read anything out of any verse.
It just shows lack of intelligence.
