Sorry. It's both. That's part of the Miracle!
I'm sorry that Christ doesn't fit into your little box of thinking. He's much bigger than any box any of us can put Him in!

Ludd_wants y,You have asked a question based on misimpressions. Jesus is not a sinner and he never lied.
Once you pray to God for forgiveness of your sins and keep your focus on God striving to live up to the highest ideals god give you,sin is no longer attributed to you, even though some uninformed person may believe you are sinning. Once one has been removed from sin they will go back into sin with the Christ leading the way They have not "backslid" God just shows you that you should let go of old bad habits, kinda like rubbing a puppy's nose in its mess. Ludd the logical mind can never fully comprend the allness of God. If you do not wish to follow Jesus then Sometime get real still ,take three deep breaths and from your heart ask God to send you a spiritual teacher. I pray that you will find Gods hand leading you on your spiritual pathway. Whistle Britches ps if you search with negative opinions that is what you will find.

I don't even know why, but I'll explain it to ya'. Adam and Eve were created perfect. Sin is what begets death. So when Adam and Eve sinned, they began to die and all of their progeny would inherit this quality. This is why a perfect man couldn't just be born, and God, through his love figured out a way to "even the scales" as they say. A perfect man created our problems, therefor only a perfect man could solve them. Since a perfect man wasn't just going to come from the progeny of Adam and Eve, we needed some help. That's why God allowed his son Jesus to be born as an earthly human. This was the only way to create another "perfect human" to even those scales offset by Adam. Romans 5:12 -"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." then verse
19 "For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were constituted sinners, likewise also through the obedience of the one many will be constituted righteous."
It's not like Jesus would have died of natural causes - he was murdered. He had to die a perfect man (without sin) to prove that a man could willingly serve God no matter what the cost.
Oh, yeah - and Jesus never claimed to be God. He continually in his ministry referred to God as his Father.

Okay, I certainly don't believe in Jesus but...
1.) A mistake and a sin are not the same thing.
2.) If you study and understand Christianity, Jesus dying makes perfect sense. Essentially, he allowed it to happen.

CHRISTIANITY IS NOT BUILT UPON LOGIC!
WE COME TO JESUS BY FAITH! THE FAITH
OF A LITTLE CHILD! It is not logical that we can feel the wind blowing and yet we see nothing or that we don't check before we sit on a chair and yet it holds us. You and I have never actually seen the Moon and yet we believe man has walked on it just because scientists show us pictures of it.Is this logical? To believe something you have never really seen yourself but to just take the word of someone you don't even know?WHERE IS THE LOGIC THERE? IT RAINS BUT WHERE IS THE WATER CAN IN THE SKY?
Just because you or anyone else says Jesus wasn't perfect --that does not make it so!!!
In God's Holy Word He says Unless you come to me with the faith of a little child you cannot get into the kingdom of Heaven. I am praying for you!

God is not bound by the rules He set for humanity. Open your perspective thought. God is perfect, thus He could create His Son as perfect. Yes. God is capable of creating human life perfectly. In fact, Adam and Eve were created in the perfect image of God, but then they chose to reject Him. So, for a short time they were perfected. Then God the Father sent His Son in human form to show each of us a glimpse of human life as sinless with the temptations of satan.
Being Human and God is a "teaching Moment" to All humanity of our future glory. It is possible with God. Do not give up the Hope.

You are confused. Perhaps you should read the bible a bit closer. Jesus NEVER claims to be God. In fact, there is even an instance in the bible in which someone attempts to worship Jesus as God and he stops them...telling them "Do not worship me but he who sent me."
Jesus was not DECLARED to be God until much later after Jesus' death at the Council of Nicea. The Catholic Church DECIDED that Jesus was divine.

I'm not sure what your point is here...
Christians claim that Jesus's father was literally God the father and his mother was Mary. So he had a divine parent and a mortal one. He was mortal and was subjected to temptation, which he overcame. He was sinless. He was also capable of dying due having a mortal mother, but only of his own free will, due to having a divine father.

If this is what you truly believe then why are you so steamed about it? You are trying sooooo very hard to prove something, but what? Show me the sin! (you can't by the way). I believe you are wrestling with all of this and I feel your pain. I will pray for you to Him who is without sin that your eyes will be opened, your heart will be filled, and your ears will be ready to listen. You can't stop me...I'm going to do it! I am!
In His perfect love,
Peacemaker

As illogical as it sounds, Jesus was human and God. Think of it like this: He was God in human form. That really makes more sense. And, no, He didn't sin, yes, He was perfect, and we can follow Him if we choose.
BTW, He didn't die. He ascended to Heaven. He also told us to treat others with respect and love our neighbors and our God. It's better than telling people to kill everyone who isn't like them, isn't it?

Lets complicate it further, and say not only was he God in the flesh, but he didnt really DIE like the rest of us either, he was resurected into Heaven.
Talk till your blue in the face, Jesus was God in the Flesh, the perfect sacrifice, free from sin, and is alive. You cant change my mind, but its fun to see you try.
