I was told that praying or asking them to pray for you was bad. If so, why? If you believe in souls, a person with a soul isn't technically dead since their soul is in heaven. What's dead is their body. Kindly explain this.

Why do so many Muslims oppress women? Why do so many Muslims believe it is OK to actually kill your own daughter?
Why do they make them cover themselves?
Why are the women not even allowed out of the house in some Islamic countries? etc. etc.
Finally, what is it about Islam that makes them so violent and extremist, especially when Islam is the rule of law in the government?

you would say the bible is full of holes, you would say christianity is blind, our cause doomed, but one thing that cannot be denied is the change in a person's life when they become a true believer:
I had a friend whom I witnessed to for over a year, he believed that there was no God, and I thought nothing would get through to him,he was a good debator and had all the good and difficult questions to throw at me,but one thing I told him I said "if you REALLY want to know if there is a GOD simply ask him", several months after i told him this he called me up out of the blue and told me the story of a life and death situation and he sincerely called out to God, he asked me what should he do to be a Believer I told him 1 simple prayer is all it takes and a sincere heart. the next day he showed up to church and he was never the same since, the change was like night to day. a guy that used to curse drink, have sex, flip people off at stop lights, complete change, how do you explain that?

Ever since i was 14 years old i've wondered why this is.
My mother,father,brother,sister are all Christians but i am not.
I am Muslim am choose to worship Mohammad none of my family
have a problem with this with the exception of my mother who
still has trouble accepting my faith.What are your opinions and
theories on why this is has happened.I am not in any way trying
to say Christianity is bad but i've never in my life have i seen any
African Americans that are Catholic,Buddhist,Taoist,Hinduist
or any other religion.When i meet most African Americans for
the first time they look at me like i stole something when i tell them
i worship Islam.I just want some answers.

My kid's mother and I aren't together, so he knows nothing of my religious practices, or anything else about my way of life, and his mother won't talk about it. So naturally, he's come to me asking questions. He knows that I'm not Christian, like his mother, but that's it. How should I go about explaining it to him? He just turned 6. And don't sit there and say that people like me, i.e. Satanists, shouldn't have kids. I'm a better father than most people I know.

That is my favorite Bible quote (in John) and seems to encapsulate Jesus better than any other quote, but why do I never hear or see Christians use it? It's there in your Bible, other religions would agree with its sentiments, it would probably even short circuit many atheists on this board, but you never hear or see it used. You hear about Leviticus, the Ten Commandments, Genesis, but never the one commandment Jesus gives to you.

no ive never seen him or really talked to him since he has been dead. but something is weighing on my heart i need to tell him and get an answer from him, somehow. dont tell me to write a letter and put at his grave... i had sent a letter to him before he died and it was returned to me, he never got it. i think if he had received it, he would still be alive now. please only serious answers. its difficult loosing someone you love, dont make it harder for me by criticizing me.

As a christian I was told that a child has to be baptized as a baby, go through first communion around age 7-8 and cinfirmation at age 10-11. What if a child does not go through the process, is there any hope - salvation for them?

The first thing most people jump up and down with is “GW is just protecting us so it’s OK for him to kill innocent men, women and children. Look at 9/11 and how they tried to kill us.”

Well here’s some facts for those who think it’s OK to murder innocent men, women and children in the name of God. G W Bush said he prayed to God and God told him to invade Iraq, although the evidence has proven quite conclusively that Iraq had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11.

So who’s guilty of murdering all those innocent men women and children, God who told GW to invade Iraq, or G W Bush because he followed God’s advice? Why do you allow your leader and God to commit murder? Why do you do nothing about it, but just make excuses for God and GW. How caring and religious is that?

i was just watching cnn and i just feel that this is unfair. they are so against hezbollah, when hezbollah is only trying to protect the middle east from the wrath of israel. the only reason why they are attacking israel is to protect the middle east, especially palestine iraq and lebnon. any way, the government should be sued. according to the treaty of the UN, no US ally could use US weapons to attack civilians. israel is doing just that!!!! cnn is only showing israeli witnesses, but not even 1 arab witness.
