Jesus said, "Wide is the way and broad is the gate that leads to destruction , and there are MANY that go therein; but straight is the gate and narrow is the path that leads to life, and there are FEW that find it". (Matt. 7:13)

I am trying to understand your question the best I can and the definition of uncanny is peculiarly unsettling, as if of supernatural origin or nature; eerie. So if that is what you believe life is like and then wonder why so few people seem to know the meaning and the way to live. (which I am guessing you are referring to life.) I take your question to mean, with some assumption on my part, that you believe that these people think life is uncanny as you do and if that is the case than it is no surprise that so few of them know it's meaning and the way to live.

Because people as a whole are misinformed, uneducated, or just don't care. They don't bother to research things for themselves, or form their own opinions. Or they get caught up in a way of life that does not allow them to question things. The moment we stop asking "Why?" is the moment when we can be led like sheep. The meaning of life to me is survival. We must work to live, yes. Raise families, yes. Support ourselves, be it on our own land, through education, or through a trade or skill of some sort. We must survive. Any animal, humans included, cannot do less. The moment we forget this is the moment when we lose sight of why we are here.

Life is a journey of learning. Starting with some good basics we set out to find who we are and what we want. Only a few lucky souls seem to know the what, how, where, when and why of life. The rest of us just bump along.

We only know what we have been taught. If one is taught to have a closed mind and a small outlook, that is all that person knows. If one is blessed enough to have been shown an open, expansive mind, then they are curious about all the beaauty life can offer. They are not pinned down by the smallness of a limited world and narrow mind. Blessed indeed.

No one really knows the meaning of life and no one knows how life will go, even a psychic cannot predict it's own future, because things and people change all of the time.
