There's this war, it seems, going on between Chritians and Atheists. I've noticed that as a Christian, people judge ME when I answer a question... I don't answer saying "you're going to hell" or giving them a whole bunch of bible scriptures, I just tell them my opinion on things and they jump at me calling me names or being immature about it.

But I've seen some of the same jugmental behavior from some "Christians", who may not curse and call names, but become hypocrites because they tell other people to do things that they know they probably do everyday. Of course I don't judge them either, because they are human and they do make mistakes like other people, but why can't this stop? Why all the "questions" that say "christians are stupid"? Obviously just to make other people mad... Just ask things you really want to know, and stop trying to offend people, it's really childish...
What do you think?

This seems to be a common statement. Is this not absurd logic? Using that argument, they must also think, for example, hitler was right too, seeing as he had so many followers?

If you DON'T use this feeble argument, the questions is not aimed at you.

Go on, I KNOW some you christians are just gagging to judge, slander and express your surpressed anger at the slightest hint of someone you perceive could be trying to knock your faith. I truly want to know the logic behind this, but feel free to slag me off as you do, I really don't mind. Honest! In fact, I'm empowered by it! It shows to me your ignorance and lack of faith.

To those who don't have a go, well done for upholding your beliefs through thick and thin, although I may not agree with them, you deserves respect for your disipline and strength of character.

"During the last few months I have, after terrible difficulties and struggles, been able to comprehend some of the lessons hidden in the heart of pain. Clergymen and people who use phrases without wisdom sometimes talk of suffering as a mystery. It is really a revelation. One discerns things one never discerned before. One approaches the whole of of history from a different standpoint." De Profundis, Oscar Wilde

The United States of America has joined with the EU, Russia, and the UN in pressuring Israel to “trade land for peace.” President Bush as well as many other well-intentioned Christian Americans have had their world view shaped by their denominational doctrines. I believe that it is critical for the future of our country and the nation of Israel to consider the evidence that challenges the notion that the book of Revelation was written before the destruction of Jerusalem in the first century.

Preterists believe that most or all of Bible prophecy has already been fulfilled in Christ and the expansion of His Kingdom. They claim that the Roman-Jewish War in the first century was the fulfillment of end-times biblical prophecy. It is their contention that the book of Revelation was written before the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Therefore, the Roman Emperor Nero is interpreted to be the Antichrist and Jerusalem is Babylon. Although Jewish and Old Testament expectations are of a literal earthly reign of the Messiah, based upon their belief that God has finished with corporate national Israel, they believe that the Jews have no biblical right to the land of Israel and there is no Millennial reign of Christ on earth.

Ok, I am a Christian, I believe Jesus Christ to be the savior, but I am having a really hard time understanding the Trinity, I always thought it was one God who manifested himself in three ways, but I just read that that's called Monarchianism, which is a Christian heresy that was denounced back in the middle ages. I am really confused, I know we believe in ONE God, but how can ONE God be THREE people? Jesus is God right? The Holy Spirit is God right? And The Father is God right? So how is that 1 and not three? I don't mean to offend anyone because I am a Christian I just really need some guidance. Jesus said he and the Father are one so that means Jesus is God but wouldn't that mean that the Father manifested himself in the flesh and was called Jesus? Please Help.

Take for example the Ten Commandments. Technically, bearing false witness against someone can be equated to murder in that any violation of the Ten Commandments warrants eternal damnation. We pervert our sense of right or wrong by rationalization and relativism.

Do you minimalize some of the Ten Commandments while condemning someone else for violating a Commandment? Or, do you try to equate what God put as the Ten Commandments as morally the same as murder? Please explain.

I don't believe these biblical myths to be anywhere near true, but I was wondering if all of you Christians actually believe this?

Lilith was cast out of Eden for NOT LETTING ADAM CONTROL HER.

If this is true, I believe she had every right as her own person! You actually think men are better than woman and that females should be meek and tame to their male 'masters'? That Lilith was evil because she wouldn't let another human being take control of her? If that's evil than there sure are a lot of evil women in the world today. Hell, you even believe Eve was just some stupid naive broad that didn't understand and ruined it for everyone. So all women are stupid, naive and evil by default or something?
I'm not a feminist but I do believe in equal treatment, no more no less.

So please, explain yourselves.

Doctrine is about what is true and what is not true about God. So we should care about whether we are following a true or false doctrine. The truth divides at first, but it eventually brings true unity. Don't you agree?

Adam and Eve had children who in turn had their own...Everyone on Noah's Ark (his son's and thier wives) made babies with each other, whom were thier own blood, and ended up repopulating the whole planet...so how does the church view incest in these sinerios, and how do these differ from cases of incest today?
