Let's get it out of our system people! I know Israel's hands aren't as clean but who's isn't? Why not let Israel just go at it with whoever messes with them? Why pussyfoot around? Let's hear what you have to say? I have no problem. I'm sure you all have something to say about what's happening now! I'm telling it how I feel! Once and for all lets end it and let them go at it and settle this whole stupid crap! Yeah Israel has killed a lot of innocent victims but Hezbollah hasn't? Al Qaeda hasn't? Osama hasn't? At least Israel is part of the 21 Century and living in the dark ages. Also, why haven't these Muslim countries tried to get rid of these terrorist? Why? CUZ THEY HATE JEWS MORE THAN THE TERRORIST!!

Well I'm a Catholic and sometimes I do believe this is true. I also think even people who aren't in the Christianity, I think they sometimes feel the present too about there God.

Its hard sometimes to believe because of our problems can't always be solve, or
when we need something the most, but I do think we should also "Thank" the God(s) who can sometimes can grant our wishes. To my point of view of my religion, God also needs our help, because he or she is also like "Us" even thou he/she has the power, he/she want to see how devoted we are and if we can be "good" he/she will also help us, but it can't bee soon or later in life. We have to be Paitent until it comes. ( note to all: this is just my point of view)

It would not have been logically impossible if the creed said that Jesus was somewhat divine and somewhat human. But this is expressly what the creed denies. For orthodox Christians, Jesus cannot possess only some human qualities; he must possess all. He must be fully human. At the same time, he cannot possess only some divine qualities; he must have all. He must be fully divine. This is impossible because to be fully divine means one has to be free of human limitations. If he has only one human limitation then he is not God. But according to creed he has every human limitation. How, then, can he be God?

Who cares if He was? And why does that have to change anything. Yes, we are supposed to read the bible, but despite all else, the Bible was written by someone (lots actually) and things get left out either by accident or on purpose. For some to say that it is absolutly impossible for Jesus to have been married, then they are saying that mariage is sin. And that married people can not preach the word of God. Where does that fit in? A true Christian only wants people to believe in Christ and His life and His death for our sins, not argue with you about whether or not the man was married. And one last thing, who's idea was it that if He had children their offspring should have some miracleous impact on us? JESUS WAS HUMAN.................................... So his offspring would have been offspring too. (do your children feel exactly like you do, or do you feel exaclty like your parents? It is Called FREE WILL )

Someone just asked a Q relating to abortion and when exactly life begins, and I thought I'd ask some similar questions, just for clarity's sake. Are you pro-life or pro-choice? Are you that way because of your religion or some other reason? What do your religious leaders have to say on the subjects of abortion, adoption, miscarriage, birth control, when life begins, and stem-cell research?

Both are said to exist by some, and discredited by others. Is one story more believable than the other? How?

I know that in Leviticus it lists all the sexual "no-no's"... but I'm unaware of any "rules" against masturbation. Maybe I misread or read over that bit of info...

The orthodox doctrine is logically impossible. As Huston Smith, scholar of comparative religion, points out, it would not have been logically impossible if the creed said that Jesus was somewhat divine and somewhat human. Huston Smith calls this a blatant contradiction. In his book The World’s Religions, he writes:

We may begin with the doctrine of the Incarnation, which took several centuries to fix into place. Holding as it does that in Christ God assumed a human body, it affirms that Christ was God-Man; simultaneously both fully God and fully man. To say that such a contention is paradoxical seems a charitable way to put the matter — it looks more like a blatant contradiction. If the doctrine held that Christ was half human and half divine, or that he was divine in certain respects, while being human in others, our minds would not balk. (The World’s Religions, p. 340).

If it was said that Jesus was partly human and partly divine that would not be logically impossible but only scripturally impossible. The Bible nowhere teaches that Jesus was divine in any way. Furthermore, if he was only partly divine then he was not the One True God of the Old and New Testaments. God is All-Powerful, not somewhat all-powerful; God is All-Knowing, not somewhat all-knowing.

Being mean would be if I did to them what most Protestants routinely do to us Catholics which is accuse us of being idol worshippers, say that we are all going to Hell, say that we are not Christians, etc.

I always say that Protestants are my Christian brothers and sisters in Christ, but I only believe that they don't have the fullness of the faith. Too bad, that I can't go a day without seeing a Protestant claiming that we are not Christians or making a false claim about what the Catholic Church doctrine teaches.

Look at my past questions and see how many times I address Protestants as "to my fellow Christians". The typical response to that is "you can't be a Christian." So who's being mean here?

Quote from the Bible (King James Version):
Matthew 19:12
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

well, it seems to me, without the JEWISH faith, there would be no christians. look at it like this...
the old testament: JEWISH holy text, written for JEWS, by JEWS, & is about JEWS.
new testament: revolves mainly around one man, his parents were both JEWS.thus, he was a JEW. that preached to JEWS. & all of his apostles, were JEWS. he was babtized by a-yup, you guessed it- a JEW. & yes, he was even "killed" by JEWS. & after he came back from the dead, & left again, guess who the apostles orrigionally preached to...JEWS!
so christians, take time out of your busy life of trying to get every one to see the light, & thank a JEW!!!!

gave everyone in our family a nail with a red bow tied around it to signify jesus and remind us that he died for our sins. When they gave us this gift at christmas, they saved them so we could all open them at the same time. We are all atheists except for the aunt and uncle, we were all speechless and simply stammered out some half hearted thank yous before setting them aside. We celebrate christmas as a time to get together, jesus and anything religious does not enter into the celebration, as we do not recognize god. Do you think it was rude of them to give those as gifts.

When my lovers father died, his horrible spirit or karma took over her person. I ordinarly do not believe this stuff but her personality has transformed into a nasty horrible person. I also had a dream that her father came to me to have his spirit released from her body so that he could procede to where he was meant to go after death.
