I know that no human can interpret God's Words then again I'm curious as to what the rest of the religious community regard the gay population?

The Bible also says that if a child curses his parents he deserves to be stoned.
So what about slavery too?
Doesn't the Bible condone slavery?
Is there then an ambigious gray area with the interpretation of the Bible?

Being "gay" is only the result of being borned with a predisposed preference.
I know this because I am.
I've gone through Bible School for nearly 7 years of my life and I understand that most people have a righteously idignant view on gays, as if a massive genoicide would be enough to clear the "sins" of mankind.
I have a question then, why would God say that "homosexuality" is an abomination when he created us the way we are?

"Homosexuality is no worse than lying, cheating, stealing, murder, etc. etc. etc. It's also no better than those. The difference is that homosexuals choose to continue in their sin. "
Homosexuality is not a choice. Its what your born with.
I'm religious so if suddenly (and magically) I were given a choice, I would want to be straight.

God can be a Mother Figure. Christianity, Islam, Judaism and the world's religions all parrallel the same concept: God.
What if the Bible is just an interpretation (?)After all we can't all be that different in explaining where we come from.

"Sure we fail miserably, but we ask forgiveness and try harder the next time. If you are gay and trying to stop, then you are no different than any other sinner. "
There's a logical fallacy in comparing gays with other sinners. When you born in your mother's womb, there can sometimes be more sex hormones than the other. There are some people who are even born with different chromosomes than their sex (eg XY, XX)

I do not believe that be gay is something " you are born with".
It isn't an affliction
It is a choice that you have made due to your upbringing and the way you were conditioned by those surrounding you.
And you are right, being gay is not a bit worse than any other sin......in God's eyes anyway.
The difference is , Christians do realize that we all sin every day but we try to do better and not commit the sin again. Sure we fail miserably, but we ask forgiveness and try harder the next time. If you are gay and trying to stop, then you are no different than any other sinner.

God hates homosexuality and it is an abomination. None of them will be in Heaven as it says in the bible in many places. It is a choice and can be chosen to do it the right way, the way God intended. God hates all sin but loves the sinners.

Actually your wrong. It requires no interpretation; God gave the laws to Moses which is the scale of what is sinful. Same sex relations is an abomination in God's written account; The Bible.
All men are sinful. Theft is a sin, a man cheating on his wife is a sexual sin, a man sleeping with a man or woman sleeping with a woman is a sexual sin and so forth. No one is exempt.
Sin is still sin. Someone who steals feels, while he knows society views it as wrong and evil, he still steals because in his heart he does not agree with it being wrong OR else he would not do it.
Its also a sin in God's eyes. So because a homosexual feels that he or she is more special than anyone else, God should show them special exemption? It doesn't work that way.

I'm not gay but I am getting so tired of people picking at gay people. Anyone who starts calling a gay person a "Sinner" or tells them that they are "Going to Hell" had better take a good long, hard look at their own problems. If these people are brave enough to do so, I guarantee you, they'll find plenty!
I've posted this in various forms at various times in various places. It's an oldie but a goodie:
In the grand scheme of things, you, me, and everyone else are basically specks of dust, riding on a larger piece of dust, around a medium sized star, which is orbiting a galaxy of similar stars that is so vast that light takes 100,000 years to cross it. This galaxy is one of over 100 billion galaxies just like it floating in the endless sea of space.
This brings two things to mind:
First: What makes anyone think that the force, being, or whatever created this vast sea of galaxies would care if two people of the same sex wanted to have sex, kiss in public, get married, adopt a child or anything else that the Religious Right works themselves into a frenzy about?
Second: Just who does ANYONE THINK THAT THEY ARE to suppose that they know what the will of the creator of this sea of galaxies is in this matter? My goldfish knows more about the workings of a nuclear reactor than anyone on this planet knows about “God’s Will”
Live and Let Live!

I believe it is wrong. But if you are born homosexual, then its the challenge God gave to you to over come. We all have our personal challenges that God gives us. I have a temper and though I have learned when to control it, I still some times lose control. But I do my best to over come it. If you do that, then nobody should say you won't go to Heaven. God does love everyone, He does this to see how much we really love Him and respect His laws. Thats all. I know its a pychological thing, but even that people can over come. You can't if you don't try. But sometimes a little help is good too, so talking to your pastor or reverend might help as well.
God Bless and have a good day!

If we couldn't interpret or understand God's words we would have no idea what He requires of us or desires to give to us.
God loves every person, whether straight or gay. However, He doesn't like the sin they fall into. Homosexuality is not acceptable to the Lord, but the person who practices it has great value in the eyes of God. His desire is that they turn and repent and accept the gift of salvation through Jesus.
Sin carries the penalty of everlasting death unless covered by forgiveness through salvation.

Sin is sin. Being gay is a sin just like looking down upon a gay person is a sin. One sin will keep a person from heaven. I have sinned and deserve to go to hell like everyone else. Only because Jesus can I say that I am going to heaven. I do believe that some people are born with the desires of a gay person, some are not, they chose. Some people are born with desires to do sinful things against God. I have no problem or desire to drink. My brother has struggled for years. He have a desire to drink, he chooses if he will give into that desire, just like a gay person will chooses if he or she will give into the desire. I completely believe that your desire is genuine, but the to give into the desire is by choice.
God loves Gays and everyone else. He only hates our sinful actions.

There is no god, so the question is essentially meaningless. However, I do think that the Bible is pretty unambiguously against homosexuality, so a true Christian should believe that homosexuality is among the sins. Of course that makes no difference to the rest of us.

Gay men and women are among God's beloved children.
Some have mis-interpreted several passages that seem to condemn male homosexuality, but these verses can be translated other ways probably more accurately. Some churches have begun to understand this and now ordain openly gay men and women.
